Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

ThailandThe room is tiny and quite crowded compared to other hostels in Melbourne and even YHA in other cities in Australia. I stayed in a 6-female dorm, and I think the room space is too tiny for six people. It might be fine for one night, but I don't think staying longer than two nights is comfortable.
The location is great. It's within walking distance from the Southern Cross train and bus station. There are tram stops nearby the hostel. The bathrooms and toilets are clean. The bed is clean and comfortable.

AustraliaGirl in bunk underneath me was awake all nite! Light on, phone not on silent so all notifications we could hear, kept going in & out of room, door banging so got little if any sleep. I stay at many hostels & this selfish woman was unbelievable. Despite earplugs! Anyway, love this hostel & I'll be back. Thanks - and I found the rooftop!!!

United StatesFor some reason the reception area and common areas have a really strong bad fecal odor. I was here for almost a week total and it was pretty consistently stinky. The continental breakfast is pretty bare-bones, and they only have instant coffee. It's very very loud at night due to the traffic and trams screeching. You're not allowed to bring in alcohol.
I booked this hostel mainly because of the location and price and it did not disappoint on those fronts. The location is excellent, super convenient to Southern Cross station (and thereby the airport), the convention center, trams, Degraves St., etc. You can store your luggage in a locker for free.

United KingdomBad smell on the ground floor. Rooms basic and dark. Lockers aren't free and there are a limited number available. Lift is pretty much always being used by people on the lower floors going down. Take the stairs, guys!
Good location for the railway station, so ideal for anyone arriving/departing from the airport. Competitively priced for Melbourne. Toilets clean and modern. Nice common area, though not the most sociable.

kitchen area was great. also had a bbq area on roof (utensils and plates avaliable.) billard table on the ground floor. also had it's own little bar area.

United KingdomOur room wasn’t cleaned and no linen changed even after putting the sign on the room (we were staying for 5nights). The bathrooms sometimes weren’t very clean, i think they could have been cleaned more often considering the amount of people using them.
Great location, close to the CBD, tram lines and everything you need! We had a private room and share bathroom, bedroom was clean and a great size, even had a fan and heater! Staff are helpful and friendly!
