The service wasn’t great. There’s no room service and considering we stayed for a week and paid $300ish per night for a small Queen hotel style room, I thought this was pretty poor. Also when we did request additional toilet paper it never arrived so we had to go to the supermarket to buy it ourselves. You also had to request fresh towels and there was a charge for more than one request. I probably wouldn’t stay again, unless perhaps in a swim out room as our balcony was also not very good. Barely any light came into the room because the balcony was mostly covered with a small open window and it meant it wasn’t an enjoyable place to sit as you didn’t get any sunlight or view there.

The location was really good, right in town and no need for a car while staying here. Pool was also nice.

Although comfortable and centrally located, our room had a very odd layout.

We didn’t have a car so we loved the central location and the great range of restaurants and shops and bakeries nearby.

Mattresses on beds need updating to a more up to date plush for comfort. Lounge suit needs to be functional for families. Very uncomfortable Cane suite, and only seating for two people. Overall general update of furnishings , kitchens and bathrooms. Becoming out dated for price of stay. Pool fountain splashes instead of a constant flow. Very annoying if sitting on pool deck.

The particular room placed in. The shower required being able to step into a bath approximately 1 metre off the ground, given I'm on crutches with an ankle injury, this was virtually impossible as unable to sit on the ledge of the bath due to shower frame, this would be problematic for anyone of retirement age also. Hose on the washing came out during a wash cycle and flooded the room. The private gate which should have been able to be accessed by the 4 rooms next to us caused contention as the owner of the room refuses to allow them the use as it's accessed the rooms private deck. It's more problematic when other people staying elsewhere in the accommodation decide to use the gate to access the pool than those staying in the 4 rooms next-door which all 4 have private desks containing an access path between their gates and their private decks, no doubt the original intention for the gate was for use by these 4 rooms only.

Location was right in centre of port Douglas Room was 2 x 2 rooms with dual key swim out 1 of the 2 rooms could have done with an upgrade of bedrooms also the other rooms looked at a brick wall which was disappointing Pool was great as it was quite and heated and also sunloungers were available

very thick dust on screen doors, king size bed (2 singles pushed together) would have been beneficial to have a king sized mattress cover over both mattresses instead of the 2 single ones. a chair in the room or small sofa would have been good, gardens outside room needed tending to prevent looking at a pile of weeds and air conditioning unit on next door property, a privacy screen on the balcony that could be closed especially at night, like the ones on the rooms overlooking the pool would have been good as the rooms across from us could see directly into our room. no room service or pool side service was available

outside spa, a step to get in would have been very helpful. location of the room was excellent, close to everything. pool area was great, a warm spa in winter would have been nice, it was cold and noone used it. large room, great balcony and view of mountains.

No natural light/windows in the room apart from a small balcony off the bathroom. Although this wasn't really a problem for our short stay, when were out of the room for most of the day.

The Unit was dull, needed a spruce up. The lift area smelt dank and damp. Our unit was rather dark, we had t have the lights on during the day.

The room was noisy when the neighbours chatted in the shared double door entry, and we could hear people sneezing in another room. The large bi-fold door between the bathroom and the bedroom was broken and unwieldy providing little privacy in the bathroom/toilet and making a lot of noise in the middle of the night. The pool was not heated.

Check in and reception staff were very friendly. The parking was handy while central location was brilliant.

it was very noisy. but it was school holidays so lots of screaming in the pool and door banging ! but that’s not the resorts fault . the only criticism is pretty petty, but I would have liked facewashers and nicer wine glasses and a few more mugs, plates and bowls .

Lift was out of action during stay so pram up and down stairs was annoying but staff offered to keep it in their locked area overnight. People with mobility issues beware of stairs, though.

Pool was great - but the main section was out of action for a couple of days due to maintenance. Big bathroom in the 1 bedroom apartment and good functional kitchen with bonus of a bbq on one balcony. Staff were super friendly. Close walk to everything and not noisy - very close to marina area.
