Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Australia-Location is super convenient via public transport (train); it's just a step out of Wynyard train station. Alot of rated Sydney hidden bars are on the same street and some fantastic cafés are walking distance away (including a Starbucks) -The room was clean and cozy, to a high standard -The rooftop bar definitely warrants a visit; stylish design and reasonably-priced drinks -Staff were very welcoming and sent text messages ahead of time to check on expected arrival time -Frankly, near perfect!

Excellent location right by Wynyard Station. So convenient. Very modern and clean. Very friendly staff. Nice touch of welcoming chocolates. Lovely strong hot shower. Very warm and comfortable bed and pillows.

AustraliaBed was super comfortable, but it was challenging to get in and out if you were sleeping on far side. Wouldn't suit someone with ability issues.
The location was perfect! So central, right on top of train station. Room was small but had plenty of storage that nothing was in the way. The bar upstairs was a nice cosy space for a drink. Would definitely stay again.

The room was comfortable and cosy. It was clean and very modern too. Loved this. The bed was very comfortable. Loved the rooftop bar and lounge, a wonderful atmosphere and nice place for dinner and drinks. The gym had excellent facilities too and was very spacious.

AustraliaThe late night food situation was confusing - the in-room tablet said we could get snacks at the rooftop bar, but the staff said they didn’t have a kitchen there (even though we’d got a BLT from the bar the day before…?). We were also frustrated by the thermostat in the room, which wouldn’t go below 20C. Apparently it’s a universal limit for the whole hotel. This is fine for people from Sydney but we are Tasmanian and 20C is hot for us to sleep in! For the price of the room, we expected we’d be able to adjust the temperature to our liking. Some staff were fabulous but most seemed uninterested in sorting out any of these issues. Most of the time I wouldn’t call this out, but this was a big splurge for us and I felt like the service should reflect the price.
Gorgeous well-designed rooms, small but perfectly formed. Lots of conveniences in room, like customisable lighting and thoughtful storage. Rooftop bar was handsome and spacious.

I have stayed before and it is so convenient from the airport. Love the rooftop space for working and that you can just order uber eats and eat up there like being at a restaurant.
