United KingdomWe had a room at the back, we did have to close the curtains to stop people looking in. The room does need a bit of love, cracked tiles, fridge that doesn’t close probably, broken switch on plug socket, no head board and lots of scratches and marks on the walls, some of the cupboards in the bathroom had the part of the front ripped off. I would stay again 100% but just if you’re expecting 4 star this might not come from the room, but the location is what makes this stay!
The location is incredible and being there once all the day visitors have gone makes it feel like you have an island nearly all to yourself. Breakfast was good, was a bit more in the pricey side but coffee was included.

South AfricaThe upkeep of the resort is very poor. Our unit had 2 tiles that were terribly cracked, the bedside lamps were working but cracked and the lampshades were torn. The doors to the balcony was difficult to open and close. When you showered the entire bathroom floor was wet. For what you pay per night I was very disappointed. The kitchen floor was dirty when we arrived aswell.

AustraliaPool bar wasnt open due to plumbing ( or really was it lack of staff?? ). Dirty glasses and crockery was all over the bar area for days. Foxys bar and grill felt like a backpackers camp eating room which is a shame as it has great potential. Perhaps the school groups could be looked after in a separate section. Plastic tables and chairs made it seem cheap and nasty, yet the prices of food wasnt. Food was overcooked (chicken tenders were that black that I would be embarrassed to serve them). Everything fried was overcooked and tasteless. ( Use a timer and get fresh oil !) Some staff at Foxys were awful in their demeanor and customer service. Cook at Foxys placed grilled beef on the chicken bun , removed it and placed it on the correct turkish bun , removed the cheese which had the beef juices on it ( I thought he was rightfully going to throw it out...) and just shook it and turned it over. Requested a high floor for a better view/sunlight however got one opposite the stairwell, so no real outlook. Still better than any of the lower floors I believe.

AustraliaCovid and cyclones have taken their toll and hope continued maintenance and upgrades will bring back the sparkle. No facewashers. Breakfast (overworked, understaffed) was not great esp. scrambled eggs and keeping up supplies of plates, juice and food but no other options.
Amazing location with wildlife at your doorstep - either finned, feathered, reptilian or flippered and surrounded by beautiful gardens.

AustraliaI have never been somewhere with ruder staff. It was hard to even get a smile out of any of them. We were at the restaurant and waited 30 minutes to get our coffee order and had to ask 3 times to be served. The room was very dirty and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned properly in years. Particularly the shower which was mouldy and kitchen which had smeared hand prints all over the cupboards. The blankets also stunk and I believe they haven’t been washed for a long time. There is very limited options of food at the restaurant and bar. When we went to the swim up pool bar at happy hour, they were out of 3 of the 6 drinks and didn’t swap for any others. We ordered 3 drinks and had to take them back because they tasted off and the staff tasted them and agreed, however was so angry that he had to make more drinks that he thought we didn’t see that he didn’t put any alcohol in them. Absolutely disgusting service. All young travellers who don’t care and have no hospitality experience. We also spoke to a number of other people on the island who said the same thing. It’s a shame as the location and activities are incredible and the staff ruin it.

AustraliaThey have a 15% surcharge on a Sunday for everything on the island. The general store has barely anything in it so you need to come prepared. There are only 2 places on the island that serve food so you don't have a lot of options and only one is open for breakfast which only serves a buffet. The walk ways to the rooms were all water damaged and under repairs and felt unsafe to walk on at times. The shower in our room had no where to place soap or hair products to use. Be prepared for your phone to lose reception throughout the day. We also needed to reconnect to the internet WiFi as it kept dropping out. They had a power issue while we were there which led to them advising guest to not use the air conditioning during our stay. Luckily it was not too hot in out room and we could open our windows.
It's quiet and peaceful on the island, we went in july so not too busy. It has beautiful sunsets, you can do a couple of hikes. There were many turtle sightings. The water is clean and clear.

AustraliaThe accommodation (beach cabin) needs a major refurbishment considering the prices that the resort is charging. The bathroom floor flooded after showers, and it just felt very tired. The food options were pretty limited. I found it strange that the definition of a child (on the menus) changed depending on which meal was being served, and which of the 2 outlets you were at. Would be good to have an a la carte breakfast option for those who don't want a full buffet breakfast.
The location is phenomenal. It was such a privilege to be able to snorkel in such a beautiful spot.
