Kitchen were really disgusting, lots of trash and messy all the time, it was cleaned everyday by staff member but there was no rules, people were playing cards and drinking games all nights in the kitchen. I wasn’t able to eat or sit most of the time. There was no space on the freezer either.

The room was dirty and smelly, likely from people who work on a work and holiday visa (like myself) and live there. The lounge was very messy at night which is the guest's fault surely and it was clean by morning, but it didn't help the overall feel that it was a bit dirty. Having stayed at the Bayswater Mad Monkey just down the road this was a bit disappointing. I would rather have stayed there again as the facilities are much better, newer, and cleaner.

The staff was nice and helpful. I felt welcomed and comfortable asking for things from the front desk. They even helped my girlfriend print a document she needed printed. Although creaky, the bed was actually pretty comfortable and the pillow was memory foam. Outlets by the beds are always nice.

Kitchen is very small, so easily gets saturated. Also only one toilet per floor.

Overall not a bad stay but the staff were horrible. Most of them didn’t really want to work and some were also rude. There was this particular short blonde girl with glasses who doesn’t know what she’s doing. I asked her to extend my stay and she simply answered ‘we don’t have anymore rooms’ almost without even checking. A friend that I was traveling with happened to ask again another staff and he happily checked us in for another week. Additionally, this particular girl spoke rudely to us on several occasions. I also noticed the staff have particular preferences with certain people which is very unprofessional as everyone should be treated equally. Some were allowed to check out late because they were friends with the staff but if others come few minutes after check out time they will take action. Maybe there needs to be a re-evaluation of the staff to create a better experience for the guests!

The place doesn't has open rooms like living rooms to stay comfortable if you want do something in your computer. And people don't have much education to use the toilet. Small kitchen.

Our room's shower didn't have a curtain or a door (which it obviously had at some point). It was open, so water got all over the place when you showered.

I really liked the location (it was in the middle of an active neighborhood, lots of day and night life) and the cleanliness of the place. There were a few places to lay down and chill, and a vending machine (both great after a night out). The staff were nice, and most of the time you could find someone at the front desk.

Nothing to do with the place or the staff but there was a lot of noise at night from guests and there were guests smoking in the room one night. Also half of the ladder to the bunk bed was blocked by lockers which made it difficult to get in and out of bed. Almost felt like a health hazard

Noise from the renovation. Stinky smell from the room. There's no lift for the luggage so not a great place for those who bring their suitcases

Loved the kitchen area. They even have oven, utensils, and spices. Air conditioner worked and the water dispenser was perfect itself.

Good location close to public transport, clean facilities and great staff. Kitchen was good and had loads of cooking equipment. The tv room was great and loads of activities organized by the hostel each week. Was great for meeting over backpackers.
