Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe arrived at 10pm, with a child and there were 5 groups queuing at reception, including other families, as the receptionist was going off shift and cashing up. So we had to wait 20 minutes to check in
Close to motorway and easy to find

HungaryThe restaurant is overpriced, the male member of the restaurant staff is unfit for his job, rude to the guests. I would like to warn future guests that they should pay close attention to what they order, write it down exactly, because if this man is on duty, there is a risk of being cheated. For example, our 10 people ordered 5 servings of wiener snitzer and 11 were on the bill. And of course we still had to explain that this much food was not ordered in total. So that's probably why we'll never come here again.
Easy access, neat and clean rooms. Good quality food in the restaurant, great terrace, good wine selection.

BelgiumThe surrroundings are not that well maintained (not the hotel fault, though). The hotel is surrounded by office buildings/warehouses and far from the city centre. The room setup is rather old (at least for the "upgraded" version) During breakfast guests are occasionally queuing for coffee, adding some coffee machines may help. There was a TV that was supposed to run ads in the elevator but the display was totally broken, like it took a direct hit. Not pleasant.
Nice and helpful staff. Rooms were big and welcoming (and soundproofed, apparently), Good breakfast (and nice outside terrace). Undergroung parking. Open space nearby to walk your dog. Good for an overnight stay. For longer stays, I am not sure.

RomaniaIts location is next to the Danube river and you can walk along its shore, or you can go to the nearby bridge which has a sidewalk. Within 3 minutes walk, there's a bus station and you can reach Linz center in 10 minutes. It has a private garage costing €16 per night. It also has a nice terrace where you can eat, drink your coffee and watch the boats on the Danube river.

United KingdomOnly one issue really that the aircon in the room did not work so it was uncomfortably warm for us Scots overnight 😂. We did not raise this issue with staff though so will not make a big deal of something we did not give them the opportunity to resolve.
Underground parking. Staff were great. Room very clean. Had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were amazing. Great location on the Dunube River. Had a great morning walk up the river and back through the city.. beautiful place.

SlovakiaThe staff at the reception desk was very nice but I would welcome to speed up the preparation of the invoices. Of course first day when I accomodated in the hotel I left my business card at the desk to prevent all the mistakes during the preparation of invoice. Even I entered all the details about my business trip to the paper form which the staff gave me to fullfill. Despite this fact the invoice was incorrectly prepared for the next day and must be recorrected for three-times untill it was correct.
The locality was very beautiful. The nice views to the river, floating ships. Very good position for walking and sporting. I used also the gym in the hotel. Of course the equipment there was limited. I would welcome at least one barbell and few weights which will be possible to put onto barbell. And I would welcome also the simple horizontal bar mounted somewhere to the wall.

GermanyParking Garage was expensive, it should be gratis or at least less then 16€ /night The breakfast personal was loud and lacking professionalism, while collecting the plates and curtlery sound of falling knives and forks was loud, there was not good ambiance to enjoy the breakfast, especially with the loud music too.

SlovakiaThe simpler fitness equipment and some of the training machines didn't work properly - but maybe that's just my inexperience with this brand of fitness trainer :-)
Very clean premises, easy movement between the garage and other areas of the hotel even with a large amount of luggage thanks to the self-opening doors and the location of the elevator. Care for cleanliness during breakfast in the common areas of the restaurant and also a large and varied selection of dishes. Functional air conditioning and a Nespresso coffee machine in the room - it will be very pleasing.

HungaryThe bathroom we did not like, it was okay for shorter stay.
We did not hear any neighbours from other rooms. The bed was really comfortable. Coffee was available in the room. Room had a small fridge we used and there was a big TV, good air conditioning. There is a bus stopping nearby, which goes to the city centre quickly.

GreeceWe were there early and had to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready at 15:00, however as it was fully booked, we were told we had to wait at least another half an hour. We were tired and sweaty from a hot day, and as the hotel is far from anything, we had to wait there until our rooms were ready. We were given vouchers for drinks as compensation, which were welcome, and we were given a different room so we could get it earlier. Room however was extremely hot and aircon wouldn't work properly...Overall the hotel felt dated, tired, and in need of a makeover...But at least we had somewhere to sleep!
The hotel was clean. The staff were very busy due to it being fully booked, so there was evident stress, but they were polite and helpful.

RomaniaEven though I announced that we would arrive between 08.00 - 09.00 pm we found the restaurant closed. On their site, you can see another program, but that evening the restaurant closed at a quarter to nine. The lady from the front desk was in a hurry and not so friendly with us. Luckily it was an open bar and we could eat something after a long, long day trip. The position is for transit, near the motorway, in an industrial area.
Room and breakfast.

SwitzerlandThe room was too warm inside, so we slept with the window open. The air conditioner was very loud. Otherwise all fine.
The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed for our one night stay, Linz was the midway point of our longer journey where we decided to make a stop. There is a bus stop about 3 Min from the hotel which took us easily to the city center (ca. 15 Mins), the old town is very nice and has lots of cool restaurants and shops. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety, and for us the location next to the highway was convenient. The staff was friendly and filled up our water bottles before we kept going the next day.
