Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe beds were made and towels changed every day, but the room was never cleaned. When we arrived it was very dusty.
The position. The size of the room and bathroom, the very comfortable bed. The possibility of having a special area to leave bicycles. Excellent breakfast.

HungaryMaybe it is known for others, but I was not aware of the fact that it is a kind of hotel for kids. I was not expecting running teens at the corridor punching on doors, and especially did not expect this running contest around 22h (that time it was on a different floor, but I could hear everything). The room's door does not keep out the noises as should, which can be disturbing during the night, when people arrives back from their programs. Not really a quiet hotel, but if someone is OK with that, it is a good spot.
The hotel has a good location, and it has a nice outdoor lounge area. There are friendly and less friendly staff, but mainly friendly people. The breakfast (and dinner) area is nice, as well as the offered breakfast was good. The room was clean. There are nice restaurants nearby and with a nice walk to the old town, as well as the lake is near.

SwitzerlandHotel is in close proximity to a football stadium and train tracks. Depending on the time of year, events and train traffic it can be a bit noisy if the window is open. The hotel is also not very central, but nothing is much more than a 15-20 minute walk away.
I was staying at the JUFA during the recent Bodensee Pokal football tournament. The hotel is in very close proximity to the main stadium and therefore a great option for that event. The rooms are a good size and offer all the comforts one would expect. Breakfast was very generous with a good spread. Staff friendly and helpful. Main attractions (Seetribüne, Lake Front etc) are only a short walk away.

United KingdomWould have liked a kettle in the room. The room was also a little too warm and the air con didn't seem to do anything so we had to sleep with the window open all night (which was sometimes noisy due to city centre location). More pillow choices would be good as we only had one very soft pillow each (we prefer firmer, plumper pillows).
Really good sized rooms and very nicely furnished and very comfortable mattresses. Everything was really clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had an exterior blind which helped keep it private even with the curtains open. Breakfast is also excellent, as was the food at the Bistro.

SwitzerlandNo electric sockets close to the bed. No shops or cafés close by.
Rooms are clean with high ceilings. Breakfast buffet had a good selection. Location was close to the Festspielbühne and easy to reach by foot from the train station. At the bar they also offered card games, very casual and comfortable.

SwitzerlandOn site parking was helpful in this converted industrial building. Our room was an unusual shape, being very long rather than wide, but the bathroom was a good size at the end of the room.

GermanyExtra heating in the bathroom is called a towel heater and turns off automatically way too soon. The floor heating does its job but I'd prefer more manual control. Our room listed water as included when booking it, but it cost extra. For the room price okay but misleading.
Very affordable. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, scrambled eggs the best I've had in a while. Rooms are spacious with very high ceilings. Shower can be adjusted very high for tall people which was quiet nice. Casino Bregenz right across the street.

The room was very comfortable & well styled. The bathroom was really clean and spacious. I had breakfast one morning & it was lovely. Location was perfect for me as I was running in the 3 country marathon and the finish line was just across the road in the stadium.

GermanyBuilding interior seems rather dated. Very limited parking spaces for hotel guests. There seem to be quite a few additional parking spaces, but I'm not sure who those are for. We had to park at a public car park (Festspielhaus) instead.
