Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GreeceMy reservation was changed by the hotel some days before my arrival at Vienna!! They rebooked my stay themselves at another hotel, very close to Prinz Eugen hotel for "operational reasons", but in my very own opinion, the new hotel was of lower quality of what I have chosen and what I paid for!!

Location excellent, right in front of the train station. Breakfast was ok , and room was clean . The hotel seems to be under remodelation,, therefore the hallway to the rooms is a bit messy (until you finally get to your room)

BulgariaThe room we stayed in had a strange smell like moisture and couldn't get away even after the windows stayed open the whole day. There was a renovation in part of the hotel so we were waking up at 7:30 by the noise.
The staff was kind and provided everything we needed so for that price it was kind of worth it.

United StatesI was duped....construction was no an over night occurrence.....when I made the reservation they had to know of the closing and construction...ie permits etc...
the day before I arrived I was sent for the first time a message in German. I later found out when I arrived at the Hotel PEW that it was closed due to construction and that I had to go to another Hotel that was on the other side of Vienna and totally inadequate. We had to hire two rooms at this hotel and pay extra for transportation since the new Hotel was so far away from where we want to be.

United StatesThe entrance door to our room did not open all the way which made it difficult to get our luggage in the door. No air conditioning made the room a bit stuffy. Fortunately, though we made no requestt, a fan was put into our room while we were out - a nice gesture by the staff knowing it was going to be a hot day.
I am actually writing a review for the Yggotel Mejse as the Prinze Eugene had to close for operational reasons and Booking moved us to a hotel down the street.. The location of this hotel next the railroad station was ideal as we arrived by train from Budapest and left by train to Munich. The room was a good size, with a nice roomy bathroom. and shower. It was very hot the next day, so a fan was left in our room for ventilation. It was a bit of a walk to the city center, but plenty to see along the way. Nice breakfast buffet with plenty of tables.

United StatesI didn't have a bad experience with the luggage storage (I arrived long before check-in time), but the hotel signs emphasize that the hotel is not responsible for lost items, so future guests might want to rent the storage lockers at the train station for 2 euros (which buys enough space for at least two carry-on items).
I can't overemphasize how impressed I was with being able to walk out of city's main train station, cross a single boulevard (albeit a wide, busy one), and be within sight of this hotel, on the correct street and about a block or two away. The hotel has an Old World charm, providing a proper introduction to this city of historic buildings and associations with historic personages. From the hotel, walking north just twenty minutes (less time by tram or subway) brings a guest to the great historic area of Vienna: Karlskirche, Hofburg castle, Burggarten, Inner Stadt, top museums, Mozart's house.

AustraliaThis hotel is undergoing a much needed upgrade. The booked room was unavailable and we were offered free breakfast as compensation for a standard room. This was fine except our doorkey never worked over 3 days which was a real nuisance. Additionally little things like not replacing tea bags,milk etc detracted from the experience.
Superb location minutes from the main station. Breakfast pretty good too
