Initially I got a different room than the one I booked but the receptionist was very helpful and fixed it quickly. My room was very nice, I also liked the breakfast and the view from the restaurant.

Bathroom walls are almost transparent. When travelling with teenager childeren, this is not the best solution.

Really nice hotel. So comfortable pillowa and plankets 🤍. Bar area was cosy in the evening amd breakfast was with wide choise. There was one lady in reception- it think her name was Petra- who was so nice and frienly and compassionate, since i hurt my knee, had to go to ambulance and had to leave my boys to hotel. When I game back I was offered so good care by her 🤍

The attitude of the reception staff when asked with help to identify my IHG customer number. Even through I have asked for her help 3 times to identify the customer number, all 3 times she either rebuffed me or snapped at me without any intention to help. Even when I remarked there is no need for an attitude, she remained in her stance of refusing help. Also I was asked for a guarantee… might I ask a guarantee for what? 5 euro worth of water and waffles that are available in the room?!?!? The alternative I was given was to pay before I took to the room, which I did. The attitude continued with payment because (unbeknownst to me) she did not have access to my card details I had submitted at the time of booking. A thing to also consider is while the bathroom design is nice and fashionable, getting out of the shower dripping will imply a puddle which has nowhere to go and the guest will have to step into said puddle every time they use the bathroom until it dries.

An excellent hotel in a super location with a stunning view. It has a lot of amenities and all facilities are new (compared to many other hotels in the region). Even though it’s in a very trafficked location it is quiet and you can relax.

I had such a quirky request, to use the sauna in the middle of summer, but it was hard for them to help me out. They finally managed in the end, but the process was a bit odd. It was a strange request from me, so a strange response felt fine.

The room was a standard hotel room, with very posh feeling lobbies and restaurants attached. The staff were very helpful to let me leave my items and shower after some trail running downstairs in the spa before I traveled. They were so kind.

The TV was not smart, which meant there was no access to any streaming services. The menu was therefore limited to BBC world news.

We choose the hotel for the restaurant service since we have a little baby and having dinner in the hotel would have been more practical for us. Unfortunately the night we stayed it was closed, and we've been informed about it at our arrival. This has been really an annoying inconvenience, and the hotel have informed us in advance. Another point to work on: the heat in the room was really too much. We turned it off immediately but it was really terribly hot, we even had difficult in sleeping.

Excellent position and very good breakfast. The personell has been kind and efficient. The room was clean and they provided a good cot for our baby.

Breakfast is overpriced, so make sure to book a room with the breakfast included.

If you’re coming by car, you can park at the garage just across the street from the hotel (Altstadtgarage Nikolai) and follow the signs for the hotel. It’s a public garage but it’s connected to the hotel itself. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent and they have room service. Great location in central Villach and a beautiful view.

Breakfast is very expensive (37eur) so be mindful to check it is already included into the room rate. While there is a good restaurant for dinner in the hotel, it can be closed for some group events

We got upgraded from a deluxe room to penthouse luxe - enormous room with patio to play golf! Very good breakfast. Great National park 30 min drive from Villach up in the mountains
