Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Brazil1) They don't have a parking lot. They should communicate better with the guests, letting them know how to park if they are going by car. Finding the parking lot was a terrible experience, even though the parking lot is close to the hotel. 2) They don't have food at the bar, which is not good, and don't allow you to eat there as well. 3) Water invades your room when you're taking a shower. That should be improved.
The hotel itself is completely amazing. The breakfast is AWESOME!!!! The breakfast is located at the highest floor with an amazing view to the mountains. At night the place becomes a Bar. The drinks are incredible!! The location is also perfect.

Czech RepublicHard to find anything really.
The location is right in the heart of the city. From the street view it is quite hidden under the old house arches, but once you enter the long corridor, take the lift to the reception area and the bar and see the rooms, you will find out this is truly a hidden jam. Breakfast is exceptional too: tasty, generous, local, unique, offering vide variety.

SpainThe heating in the room didn't work and it was a cold snap in June. The towel rail did not work either so it was really chilly on coming out of the shower.
On check in, we were offered a welcome drink, anything we wanted. That was a great start. The receptionist proactively asked if we wanted recommendations for restaurants or sightseeing. She wrote down directions for the bus to Schloss Ambras and explained all that the Welcome Card offered. There is no restaurant, but the top floor bar doubled as a breakfast room. Great views and lovely breakfast. The styling was great and atmospheric and I thought the prices were very good.

United StatesIf you arrive by car you must lug your luggage 400m from a parking lot. However at time of departure you are allowed to drive in the pedestrian zone right to the hotel front door. The hotel was completely renovated during Covid but in a short period of time some of the rooms, ours included, have become raggedy with scraped walls and damaged fixtures. Another couple traveling with us had an impeccable room so maybe some rooms are fine. There also was a faint odor in our room. The staff, however, offered to move us. Be aware that there is no air conditioning at night. Our room was too warm and when the windows were open it was too noisy. The second night we were provided with a fan.
Good location in the heart of Innsbruck. The staff were fantastic and attentive. The breakfast was wonderful with a combination of a buffet and cook-to-order items. Very uniquely decorated hotel.

United KingdomNot sure the air conditioning was turned on. The weather had been cold for for several months prior to my visit and I was there in the first warm spell of the year. The room was quite warm for sleeping but the windows could be opened.
The location of the hotel is brilliant right at the heart of Old Innsbruck. Shops, sights and restaurants on your doorstep. The hotel is characterful because of the ancient building it is in enhanced by a great and tasteful modern renovation. The breakfasts were delicious with a great selection of hot and cold food.

United StatesWe had a lovely standard room with two twin beds. The beds were each against a wall on one side and it felt a bit narrow and confining with not enough room to move in bed.
Registration was very welcoming and easy. Staff was especially helpful at recommending places to eat. His suggestion of Il Convento for dinner was perfect. We had a wonderful meal and felt very comfortable. Breakfast was the best we have ever experienced, even for Europe. So many beautifully prepared and presented fresh local foods, all of it was delicious. I especially loved the roasted pumpkin and the stewed pears, along with the delicious smoothie made with anise, melon, and spinach. I didn't even make it to the cakes.

AustraliaOur short stay at Weißes Kreuz was excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were modern, clean and very comfortable. The location is also great - right in the heart of the old town, but also only a 5 min walk to the F airport bus. Would gladly stay here again!

United KingdomThe aircon in our room didn't work, although we were given a Dyson fan which helped. Unfortunately the room didn't have a fridge though, which we really could have done with. Additionally, this isn't the fault of the hotel, but the nightlife is very active and very loud in the local area, so there were people shouting and screaming outside most nights as late as 3am, this was made worse by needing to keep the windows open due to no aircon.
Great location in the city centre, the room was a good size & bed was incredibly comfortable. Staff were all very friendly & helpful, and the lockers for luggage storage are a great size. Wifi was very good.

United KingdomThe room does not have a fridge which was only a minor issue for as it was very warm and we would have liked some cold water. The room was dark but we really liked that, so only a negative if you do not like that kind of decor. The shower is in the room and open with little privacy. Again, not an issue for us as we are partners, but can see how the lack of privacy could be an issue for some.
Location was fantastic! You could not get more central. Walking distance to all the main attractions, including the funicular up to the mountains. The room was a great size and really nice decor. Shower was big and fully functioning and we had no problem with it being in the room with us. Can see how this could bother people that maybe are not together or certain family members, due to the lack of privacy. The room was very clean and water was provided every day. The bed was very comfortable and even though not a huge room, there was plenty of space for storage. The nicest thing was how quiet the room was!! This is always a really big issue for us when we travel, so was lovely to have total peace for 3x nights! The little balcony was nice too, especially as we got very lucky with the weather! :) The description of it is accurate as it is more rooms than a full hotel, which is what we needed so no issues! Really lovely staff and a great stay generally, would highly recommend.
