We liked staying out of Innsbruck but some people may prefer to be in town. This is a family oriented hotel but this did not disturb us in any way.

We enjoyed our stay at der Walzl. It has comfortable bed/ room. It was easy to get to Innsbruck by bus (20 minutes), we travelled by train to Innsbruck (so no car). There is also a tram service to near the hotel. We enjoyed other activities: swimming in the nearby lake and hiking. We also enjoyed the dinner we had at the hotel and the breakfast buffet was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.

- Lack of air conditioning during the hot days was a bit painful - There was no hand soap in the bathroom, we had to use shower gel to wash our hands

The room is super nice and the restaurant is outstanding. They have a small rooftop pool with a beautiful Mountain View. You also can enjoy the sauna after swimming. The quality of the food there is excellent, typical Austrian cuisine.

We spend 3 nights at the hotel and the staff, food , service, rooms, and everything was on excellent level!!! Great location to visit Innsbruck, just take bus and your are there in 20 minutes. Breakfast was great. Rooms clean and cozy!!! Pool and sauna are clean and warm. Definitely will stay again!!!

Very large, comfortable and quiet room at the back of the hotel with a good view. Excellent bed and bedding and a great shower. Breakfast was fantastic. Very convenient for visiting Schloss Ambras - only 5 minutes by car.

Be aware if you are sensitive to countryside smells, there was an occasional smell of pig manure in the air around the town of Lans. Did not bother us inside the hotel though!

The rooms lack air conditioning, which might be challenging on hot days.

The location is very good close to many hiking routes and Lansersee (lake). It also has an efficient and reliable public transportation. The in-house restaurant is very good as well.

The spa area / sauna was meant to shut around 9pm however the rooms were starting to cool down and steam room was no longer working before 8pm. Perhaps it was a once off but I would’ve thought it would continue operating until the listed closure time.

We wished we could’ve stayed longer! The facilities and rooms were all excellent - clean and in great condition. Dinner was delicious and the buffet breakfast had lots of options.

- the room seemed a bit smaller than expected - the eco sauna next to the pool has very nice panorama view, but the door does not close well, so the heat is getting out

The hotel was definitely above my initial expectations. Wonderful location with in a splendid alpine surrounding. Very comfortable room and friendly and welcoming staff. The breakfast was really good with a large variety of choices in both food and beverages.
