Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaThe pool within the hotel is very small compared to how it looks on the pictures. Nevertheless, there is a bigger swimming pool with more whirlpools just 200 metres up the road and the entry for hotel guests is free.
Delicious and perfectly prepared dinner, good selection for breakfast, clean and newly renovated room, helpful and kind staff, good wellness area with different saunas and steam bath.

HungaryThe cosy hotel is located in a charming village. The room was spacious and confortable. Our half-board was upgraded full board. There were various and healthy foods, nice staff in the restaurant. Although the pool in the spa was small, there was pleanty of space in the rest areas, the hotel did not seem crowded.

GermanyNothing!
We very much enjoyed our stay. Half-board was extremely good value as included breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. A highlight was the group walk to the Bratl Alm where we had an excellent dinner in a very picturesque setting. All staff were very helpful and courteous. It is a great place to unwind from the daily stress and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. We will come back!

AustriaI think there are only a few points of constructive criticism which i can share: - For me the only real issue with the hotel was the housekeeping. Cleaning started usually at around 8:30 and as breakfast ends at 10:00 i was planning on sleeping longer to enjoy my vacation. However, several times the cleaning ladies tried to enter my room without knocking, waking me up as a result. This can be easily solved by communicating with the dinning room to see which guests arrived already and clean their rooms first. The cleaning ladies were also very loud, speaking loudly to each other. One of the cleaning ladies seemed to have been sick as she was coughing all the time, which was also very loud in the morning. I'm a very flexible person and i'm also not too disturbed by noise, but i think this is an issue that should be addressed and solved. - I think the breakfast could be richer, especially for vegetarians or vegans. having more vegetables available could already make a difference. And perhaps diversify it a bit as this can make a great impact on the guests' day. Many people are looking forward to their hotel breakfast and if it's underwhelming or too repetitive, they might get disappointed. Beside these points, there's nothing to add, everything else was fantastic.
I stay at the Mein Hotel Fast for 2 weeks and i must say, the hotel has exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel is located at Wenigzell, surrounded by mountains and forests, perfect for hiking and relaxation. The room i had was fantastic, big enough and comfortable, with a balcony and a fantastic view of the natural scenery of the village. There's no central light in the room but there were enough lamps. When one of the lamps stopped working, the staff fixed it right away. The highlight of the hotel is definitely the food. During the 2 weeks stay, i enjoyed 3 meals per day. Breakfast was nice, not too diverse but for me it was more than enough- vegetables, cheeses, egg, fruits, etc. Lunch included a soup and a dish and a variety of sweets. Dinner was always the highlight and in 2 weeks the meal was different every single evening. I truly send my compliments to the kitchen team for making such fantastic food on a daily basis. There were always both meat and vegetarian options. The staff also deserves compliments as everyone was extremely friendly and service oriented. They always seemed in a positive mood and always made sure i had everything i needed. At the last day of my stay, they let me check out late to accommodate my departure time. The hotel has also a spa and relaxation area which was very nice. I only used it once but it was comfortable, not too big but enough for a relaxing time. Overall it's clear that this hotel is well managed and well taken care of. I will definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

IrelandThe WiFi at the pool area wasn't amazing but was OK. I was there on a busy day so didn't get parking in the main car park, but was able to park just over it at street level without issue.
Had a fantastic albeit short stay at Hotel Fast in Wenigzell. The room was impeccably clean, with a balcony facing out to a view over the mountains. Very comfortable bed, all facilities that you'd need or expect. The breakfast is fantastic, really wide choice of everything from traditional Austrian to the usual, cereals etc. I didn't have dinner in my room price but decided to eat at the hotel. The food is exceptional and reasonably priced for the quality that it is. The bar area has just been renovated also, really nice modern design mixed with traditional Austrian style. I also went up to their sister property called the Bratl Alm for a few beers, which is about a 10 minute walk up the hill. This place is incredible if you like the proper Austrian timber hut experience, although it is only actually a few years old. Friendly staff, good choice of beers etc. and a great atmosphere, I would definitely do that again. You can eat there too but I was stuffed, but what was coming out of the kitchen looked great. There's a wellness centre downstairs with a relaxation pool and a quiet room. I found two saunas and a steamroom, so plenty there to relax. There's also an infra red chair room and water beds but I didn't use those. I spotted a big outdoor natural swimming pool which is unfortunately closed in winter as it's frozen over, but I'd say in summer it's great. I will be back in warmer weather to do it all again and use that pool! I went skiing for one day up at the local piste...i'd say it's good for families, with 2 t-bar lifts and a magic carpet. The ski hut is great, nice semi-panorama bar and really good lunch. It's about a 5 minute drive from the hotel
