Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The view from the room was exceptional. The room (apartment) was huge and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The Receptionists were really helpful. The kids loved playing in the games room.

NetherlandsWe were disappointed to discover that our corner apartment had shared balcony, with no privacy at all. Bed room doors were connected to balcony and with no fans or AC you could only sleep with open doors to the balcony. To make it worst the balcony of corner apartment like ours, was also accessible through central corridor. People from street could come in the corridor without passing the reception ..... that was not a comfortable situation. There was an small symbolic one time compensation, but that doesn't ease the pain.
That was our third stay in this hotel (twice in hotel, first in this residence of same chain). The location is perfect, staff is very friendly and close to all facilities. If you are lucky you the get room with nice view on mountains.
