Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Good and quiet location. 10 minutes walking from/to the train station and shopping centre. The kitchen had everything you need to cook or eat a take away.

RomaniaMaybe the room could have been a little better: one could wish a few more space or a bit more light or a bit more cleanliness or a bit more-contemporary furniture ... But these are not important ... the main problem was - in my opinion - the host's general attitude. Be prepared to pay 10EUR / day if you want air conditioning (in Vienna). Be prepared to spend about half an hour reading ENDLESS (and sometime contradictory) messages. Be prepared to pay 30EUR if you do not cope with self check-in and you need phone assistance after 6pm (by the way, the process was very simple and, by the way again, the host was at the location at that moment). Be prepared to pay for any damage the host thinks you have made. And finally, be prepared to take a photo with the key left on the table at check-out and to send it to the owner via WhatsApp ... or you risk a 250EUR (as far as I remember) penalty for losing keys ... By the way, finally, a chair got loose from its joints when I was just sitting ... and I fell down (I’m less than 90kg). At that moment I didn’t feel comfortable to report the incident (fortunately I wasn’t injured) because - according to “messages’ message ”- I thought it was very likely that the host would blame me for breaking the precious old chair. Maybe he (the host) had bad past experiences with some nasty guests. But that's no reason to treat everyone like this. Because, first of all, he made himself a bad picture
The surroundings are nice ... Quiet, lots of green space, Danube near the front door ... even some kind of river-beach very close. Overall, the apartment was good

CroatiaIf you want earlier check-im or later check-out, you need to pay 10e for every hour, as well as 15e/day for using A/C.
When I arrived, my unit still hasn't been cleaned so the owner gave me a better unit which was apsolutely incredible. This unit had bathroom, kitchen, bedroom with tv and large terrace with deck chairs and table right up to river Dunav (Danube/Donau).
