“We had a wonderful time at the Dörrmühle. Veronika and Karl were very thoughtful hosts, helping us with ideas for trips and how best to organise them.
We loved staying in the old mill which has delightful views of the surrounding hills and forest.
The location is excellent, with Vienna, Melk, Mariazell and the Ötscher Nature Park within easy reach. We loved our trip on the Mariazellerbahn and our Danube River cruise. We also enjoyed walking in the hills around Texing.
Overall a lovely stay. We would recommend the Dörrmühle and Veronika and Karl's hospitality to anyone.”
“It's a castle!!! Seriously awesome.
No in all seriousness, the owners have done a great job renovating this gem. Our room was massive, not sure if we were upgraded but there was space to sleep 10 in our suite. A full bathroom with extra toilet was great with kids.
The food was brilliant and the service was excellent.
The English of the staff wasn't great but with their little bit of English and my little bit of German we managed.
The castle tour was great and they had an English information sheet which was helpful.”
