“The hotel was easy to find. The staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. We arrived cold and wet after a long motorbike journey in the rain and the wonderful man on Reception gave us a warm welcome and offered to change our room to one with a (great) bath so we could have a warm soak. The evening meal was nutritious, tasty and good value. The breakfast buffet was extensive. Parking for the motorbike was handy at the front of the building.”

The hotel is very 'old style' in its decor, not tatty or falling apart, but by no means modern or even 'recent'.We were on a touring trip and visited a number of hotels in succession and differences in hotel standard were very apparent. Shrofenstein was one of the most expensive hotels we used but well off being the best in quality. One word to describe the place is 'dour'. We think this sums it up well.”

“We both enjoyed the very central location of the hotel. The parking behind was very easy and accessible. The hotel restaurant was very good, with local food and great service. The room was very clean and it was nice to have windows that opened fully, as it was very warm in the room with no air-conditioning. The reception team were really helpful and nice. I would stay here again if we visited. There was a really lovely spa on the top floor with sauna and showers, but we ran out of time to use this facility.”
