In a great location, situated near Florida Street and conveniently close to money changers, and the subway is just a short walk away, allowing for easy exploration of the city. There are friendly and helpful staff. I stayed in a private room, and I was pleasantly surprised by its size. The breakfast provided at the Colonial Hostel was simple but a nice way to start the day and there is a pleasant common area for dining and relaxing in the evening. Another aspect that impressed me was the hostel's flexibility and understanding when it came to late check-in and luggage storage. I arrived later than expected, but the staff was accommodating and ensured a smooth and hassle-free check-in process. They also provided secure luggage storage, which was greatly appreciated as it allowed me to explore the city without the burden of my bags. Overall, my experience at the Colonial Hostel was exceptional. The combination of its prime location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and satisfying breakfast made for a memorable stay. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Buenos Aires and seeking a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

I had a top bunk and worried the bed would fall over every time I climbed since it was so flimsy and the ladder was so narrow.

It was really convenient to go around Buenos Aires and get to know the city. The staff was also generally really nice:)

Pillow was rather flat. I left my bed unattended on 2 brief occasions since arriving at the Hostel - on both occasions I returned to find other women had been checked into my bed. For most men repeatedly finding random women in their bed would be a perfect dream, but I’m not like most men🤣

All the staff were absolutely brilliant, friendly & knowledgeable - the best thing about the hostel. They also speak English which is great. Free breakfast was a treat considering the price. Brilliant central location for the city centre. bus station nice and close. Very clean. Very good place.

Breakfast was included, but was just a pile of somewhat smashed, prepackaged pastries or croissants. We ended up going out instead. Wifi did not really reach our room when we arrived (hard to judge it completely, as we weren't there too long).

Extremely helpful and friendly staff, especially during checkin. Helped us out quite a bit in finding some things in the area, understanding currency, and more. We were also able to leave our bags all day after checkout. Good security. Good location, just around the corner from pedestrian street with plenty of things, also not too far from the Retiro bus station as well as the Tienda León station for getting to & from the airports, and the port area & the Reserva along the water. We didn't spend too much time there, but common areas and kitchen seemed alright.

Facilities are old and not renovated. There is no elevator, if you have heavy luggage going up through the stairs gets risky.

Location was good, right in the heart of the city centre, but in the evenings with no business opened it get quite desolated, its better to move with caution. Staff was nice. Breakfast was included.

The Hostel is very well located close to the famous pedestrian street, restaurants, and grocery stores! The staff is really helpful, the place is good for a couple of days in Buenos Aires, more for Bag packers and a couple of friends!

Breakfast needs improvement. It’s only tea and old croissants.

The location was great. This can be a social hostel if you want it to be. The staff was good. Clean facilities. And amazing hot showers with good water pressure! Good value for your money. I would book again

Please REMEMBER to rent the key if you need to arrive hostel after 1am. I have been reminded to rent a key if I arrive the hostel after 1am. I didn't. I was not planning to arrive late. But my plan changed, until they sent me a WhatsApp message,they will not be waiting for me at all. The public bathroom facilities are just having a waterproof curtain to separate you from others. If there are freaks, good luck and protect yourself. The dormitory room is with little space.

The location is very close to the main streets. The price is very reasonable. They accept cash payment with official rate of USD exchange rate to ARS.
