I think it would have been nice to open the pool middle of May. There's alot of people who would still use it. Pool was closed.. and no breakfast.

    No breakfast

Great view but not the best option during low season

Disclaimer: This review is for a stay in October (low season), probably during high season, things are different. Some of the reasons we booked this place were the pool and the breakfast (not free, but for 1 EUR, according to Booking) and neither of them was available. I wish I knew this in advance because then I would have much more similar options to compare with. The place is not far from the center (10-15 minutes walking), but you must climb a huge hill with some dark places at night (which may seem unsafe but it's actually okay after you get used to it). There are no doors/curtains in the shower so the bathroom gets soaked.

Ana and the men who received us (who doesn't speak English) are very nice people! Not to mention the cutest dog on the property, Liza. The view from the balcony is wonderful. The price was good and the room was fine, with WiFi, a minibar, and a hairdryer. Parking inside, elevator. Flexible check-out.

We had to request for blankets. We didn't realise we had to pay city tax on top of our accommodation. The breakfast included was very simple but the view made it worth it.

The pool and city/ocean view were the highlights! We had a balcony overlooking the ocean and it was stunning! The staff were friendly and helpful. It was nice to have breakfast included. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a great size with good water pressure. There was a lift to help with our luggage too. It's about a 15 minute walk to the main area of Sarande and uphill on the way back to the hotel.

The access to the property is VERY difficult, wether by foot or by car. So be careful when booking if this is a no for you. Very poor wifi. Not working at the 6th floor and even in the common areas most of the time. The door of the balcony was broken and it took them 2 days to fix it. We had to use a window to get to the balcony. Few parking spots, not enough for all guests. We had to move our car 2 times in one night. Evan though the restaurant should be open until 10.30 pm, it was closed at 9.30 pm one night. So we had to go to the market and buy some stuff. When having the snacks on the empty terrace they told us it was forbiden. Inflexible manager. After 3 days, of such bad experience, when we refused to continue our stay, she tried to force the payment on my credit card. Thank God the transaction was refused by the bank. I do not recommend this location for the price they ask for. I would think twice even staying for free. 😬

The pool is ok. The restaurant and the terrace have nice architecture and are cosy. The younger staff is really polite and helpful.

Very dirty pool, can't even count the times I had to pull hair out from my fingers and weird stuff was floating around. We only used the pool once for 10 minutes because of that. Also was said that we can get towels near the pool but at the end they didn't have anything and reception said I can use my hotel towels and when we arrived to the pool they said we can't use the room towels?!?! Travelling with a small luggage I really don't carry my own towels. I wish room had some water boiling possibilities. Very pool breakfast. Eating 3 days in a row bread and huge pieces of tomatoes and some very sweet cake was not really nice. Location is definitely not for older individuals unless you want to pay taxi money all the time. Very very steep walk up there. Very very very noisy because you can hear the music from the city to the room. I think there is a law that loud music needs to stop by 23:30 so at least it's not all night.

Beautiful big room with a balcony facing the sea! Amazing view!! Reception staff was very nice! That's about it.

We found the room to be a bit dirty. And very humid. Much more humid than the rest of Albania. Also they say there is parking, but there isnt enough parking spaces, so we couldnt be sure if we would get a spot. It often ended up in a car-tetris-game, where people parked so that others couldnt get out, and then the satff just knew which car belonged to what room, and then everybody were woken up at 8, so that the car parked furthest from the road could get out

The pools are quite nice. And the view from the breakfast restaurant

The family room was particularly old. It was not well cleaned. The bathroom was full of hairs all kind from the guests before. The airconditioning must have been at least 20 years old not working properly. Not even a bottle water or something was provided in the room, nothing. But everywhere warnings that outside food and drinks are not allowed. Also they forbid the hotels towels in the pool area, but do not provide pool towels. For 125€ a night that was a pretty low range stay. Ok for one night, but thats it. Also cash only. All drinks & food in the hotel must be paid cash.

The view is stunning and the pool area is very nice. Also that we could check in 2 hrs earlier was a plus.

Breakfast not very varied, every day the same, mostly stale products. Pool and water could be cleaner. The hotel is located on a large hill, so going down to the promenade and back to the hotel on a very steep hill is quite long and hard. In the room in the kitchenette complete lack of dishes and any kitchen utensils. One of the ladies at the reception (with curly hair) a bit arrogant, with whom it is difficult to communicate in English.

The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Spacious room, well-functioning air conditioning and internet. Frequent cleaning and change of towels. A well-lit room everywhere, worktop in the kitchenette with sink and fridge. A large mirror, a lot of wardrobes to store things, a large terrace. No problems with parking. The hotel has a restaurant with a wonderful view serving a good variety of meals. Great pool, comfortable tables with benches where there was never a shortage of space to relax by the pool.

Poor breakfast, short serving time. 8.30 till 10.00. Stopped to refill at 9.25, we came for breakfast at 9.30 and just had left overs , no breads anymore, no eggs, hard sausages.. My wife asked to refill they said no. Bar staff called Ronaldo didn’t gave me changes about the drinks that I got, and all the time offering drugs (cocaine) to me. I was having a relax time seated in the pool couch with my wife and this guy just seated in our table saying weird things to us, we felt very uncomfortable with him. He even kind of threatened when I said about my change, left almost 60 euros with him because didn’t want trouble. Completely unacceptable. Stay away of this guy.

Pool area was nice, great location, reception staff were very kind. Room was clean, room view was awesome!

I didn't realise how steep the hills in Saranda are, so didn't realise the hotel was such a steep walk up from the boulevard. As a family with young kids and a pram, this was a bit inconvenient for us, as it was a long, hot walk for the kids and hard to navigate with the pram as there were lots of steps. Fine for couples or families with older children, but I would recommend staying closer to the water for families with young children. There was a sink and small fridge, but no kitchen amenities. A kettle, bowls, cups etc would have been appreciated.

A family run hotel with nice staff, a decent pool and a beautiful panoramic view over the water. The room was fairly basic, but ok for the price we paid.

The first thing that captivated us when we arrived at this hotel was the beautiful view of the Bay of Saranda, which we enjoyed during the well-served breakfast and also during the delicious dinner. The joyful atmosphere was completed by the wanderful pool in front of the bar which we enjoyed during the day. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and ready to fulfill all our needs. Our stay at Olympia Hotel was more than worth it. We will definitely come back with our children next time.
