The room was big, light and airy with far reaching views over the town to the mountains beyond. A sensible sized fridge and TV in the room and a well appointed shower room and toilet en suite. There was ample room to sit as well as a mezzanine with twin beds if you have family as well. The breakfast was copious and very, very tasty, with homemade produce. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. They were delightful, friendly and helpful

Loved everything about our stay - this was our favourite hotel in Albania. The family who run this hotel are all super lovely and accomodating, the rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is such a treat, so many tasty local foods to try. Thank you for the best stay!

United StatesThe Gjirokaster Hotel combines traditional architectural elements with all the modern conveniences. Our rooms were wonderful with a blend of 21st century bedding and a carved wooden headboard. The bathrooms were sleek and modern. The breakfast was delicious with eggs, fresh fruit, cakes, local pastries and very good coffee that was made to order. It is perfectly located - everything is within walking distance. There is a pool and a lovely outdoor sitting area under an arbor. The owners, a lovely couple, were the perfect hosts - friendly and accommodating. We loved the old city of Gjirokaster and can't say enough good things about the Gjirokaster Hotel.

United KingdomWe stayed in the 4 person room where 2 single beds were located on an upper platform (studio style room) so it was a little hotter up there as the A/C vent was on the bottom floor which is already cooler at baseline. Not the worse thing ever but just a minor note. Wifi wasn't the best in the room (little slow).
Very clean and beautiful room with a good amount of space. I thought it might be a little old but it was very new feeling despite having so much character in the furniture and decor. Pool is small but great for the summer, pool towels available. There are 2 tortoises that live near the pool! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The hosts are very kind and thoughtful. Parking is free next to the hotel, hosts will help move your car if needed Excellent location. Right next to the downtown/Bazaar and a little further down is the castle (also close though!)

The hotel has some free parking which really helps in this small town. There’s a great pool, yummy home cooked breakfast, very nice rooms with good air conditioning, and the location is unbeatable.
