The location of the hotel is on a very steep hill and parking can be a bit stressful, but that is the case for all hotels if you want to stay in the heart of Gijrokastra!

Really great location within a few mins of the bizarre. The family who run the hotel are so friendly and very helpful. The pool was a nice addition and the rooms were very comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We received a very friendly welcome. The room was beautifully decorated in the traditional style and with carved wooden furniture. The view from the balcony was stunning. The breakfasts were a delicious feast and they also have a garden, secluded from the road, which was very pleasant to sit in and enjoy a raki night-cap at the end of the evening.

Lovely place to stay in Gjirokaster! Beautiful rooms, great breakfast, terrific location, and the pool was a delightful extra. (It was too cold to swim when we were there, but just sitting outside in the sun was wonderful!)

The only thing I didn't like was having to leave! I would have liked to stay for a week.

This beautiful hotel has the most charming and friendly staff you could wish to meet. It's on a hill a couple of minutes above the main part of town, which is teeming with bustling nightlife; restaurants and bars and cafes everywhere. It is an extremely pleasing old town. Absolutely lovely breakfast.

This hotel is fantastic! You can see that the owner really cared about making it a great place to stay. The beds and furniture are top-notch and look beautiful. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - they really go out of their way for you. And the breakfast was delicious with a wonderful homey feel. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.

Slightly small room but still beautiful and worth the price

Wifi was not always good. The beds were too soft for us.

Nice, spacious and clean rooms. Friendly people. Lovely breakfast. Central location (tip: When driving towards the hotel don’t take the road inside the city centre because that one is super steep!! Instead take the “Rruga Gjin Zenebisi” and follow the new road for a bit until you take a right turn and drive around the castle).

Everything is great. However one thing we missed was some hangers for our jackets.

This family run hotel is really nice and so is the family. The breakfast with traditional food was delicious. The location, just above the old bazaar and beneath the castle, was perfect. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds. In summer they have a pool which will add even extra to the visit. Recommended, we would love to come back!

Super nice hosts, each member of the family has been lovely, friendly, and ready to point out interesting sights of Gjirokaster. The most amazing breakfast has been served in the beautiful cafe of this boutique hotel, by the host herself. Remarkably tasty, thoughtful, delicious, presented with love and care for food and for their guests. Every morning we had different dishes to taste, what a wonderful start into the day! The location could not be better, the house is directly at the entrance to the old town, exactly where you want to be when visiting Gjirokaster, close to the historical sites, interesting museums, restaurants, and shops with traditional local products. The room in the house with lots of traditional features like playful curtains and pretty stone and woodwork has lots of space to sit comfortably, to store all things and suitcases away, and a huge bed with lovely comfortable bedding. To say only the best words would still not be good enough. So we shall simply call this accommodation the best imaginable stay in town. Try it out, you shall have no regrets!
