Nice place, beautiful view from the balcony of our room. Clean, quite and we had a big batheroom, very spacious. The guesthous and his wife are very nice people. Best regards.

The H&H guesthouse was our absolute favorite on our trip through Albania and Montenegro. The hospitality of this awesome family is overwhelming! We felt so welcomed and got so many helpful advices, not only for Velipoja but also for the rest of our trip through northern Albania. The guesthouse is also located super close to the amazing sand beach. The center is close enough to reach, walking distance 10 min, which makes the guesthouse a quiet and relaxing place. Nonetheless a supermarket, delicious restaurants (especially fish) and some shops are right around the corner! Would always go again and recommend it to our friends!

Power outages (4 times in day an half). So with power gone, you dont have water, internet nor AC. But power comes back quickly, within 10 minutes. Communication with hosts is bit hard since they speak only albanian but using hands and gestures makes it possible, and they are very helpful and friendly.

Very close the beach, and few restaurants. Shop is also close by. Big balcony, nice comfortable bed.more than big enough fridge.AC in the room which is must have during +35C days and hot nights.

Although we payed for 2 nights, we stayed only 1. Since we traveled around 6 hours before arriving, we were pretty tired to examine the apartment in more detail, so we had a short "talk" with the owners, which were very kind and charming and which speak "Internazionale" language as they say (which means they don't speak any, except Albanian). So, any deeper discussion was impossible. They smiled a lot and showed us shortly the accommodation, which was a bit outdated, but in that moment it didn't mattered much. It has also a great rating on Booking. Later, we figured out a lot of the stuff is improvised and set scarcely up. In the bathroom, there is a wooden planking which serves as a standing platform when showering, and if doing so, water floods everywhere (poor drain solution). The toilet seat was kind of yellowish color, where we suspected that it was seldom cleaned. Beds looked ok, but they were very unstable and squeaky. It has a small kitchen with fridge, some cutlery and a small table. There is a window, but no mosquito net. A nice view out of the window to the garbage dump across. The sink is inside the bathroom. There is no closet for clothes, but we figured out that it will be ok for 2 days. When trying to sleep, I was listening to some strange noise above my head which I thought it's the water from the AC dropping somewhere outside, since it was fixed above our heads. So I switched it off. The noise didn't stopped, it continued in the same rhythm throughout the whole night. In the morning, after periodically waking up, after reading other reviews, I figured that a woodworm was making noises. Also, there was a strange odor from time to time. Probably mold, since the room had a bad air circulation. I was hardly sleeping for 6 hours. My wife was bitten by a bed bug. The linen were also a little bit smelly and weren't probably washed very often. I checked the reviews and figured out that latest ones were from 2019.

Not much. Wifi was good. Location also, since it's close to the beach. There are few restaurants around, supermarkets etc.

Rooms are really small and uncomfortable, pillows are smelling old because of humidity. Beds are really bed cannot sleep all night.
