Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe staff were really friendly and took care of us really well. Our flight was delayed but our chauffeur waited at the arrival and picked us up. The place was great and the food was just too good. From the welcome tea, coffee, snacks to the grand dinner everything was well organised. There were other customers who came for the show and dinner so we were skipped the camel ride at night but took it in the morning. All the entertainments like Henna, Shisha, Tanoura, Khaleeji Dance & Fire show will keep you occupied all day. The morning breakfast was a delight. Overall a great experience!

FranceBreakfast was so-so, lots of mosquitos (would have been nice to have a lemongrass diffuser), departure was rushed (could be due to bad weather)
Dinner was very good, the welcome upon arrival and the storytelling

United StatesI don't think the showers have hot water, or at least I could never figure out how to make it work. However, with it being hot outside this wasn't a big deal.
The staff was amazing and went out of their way to help us when we lost our keys. We enjoyed the entire experience dressing up, riding the camels, delicious food, great entertainment, henna tattoos, etc. The tent felt glamorous and my kids loved playing in the sand dunes during the down time. I would definitely recommend.

AustriaMy recent stay at the Camp was nothing short of exceptional. Located conveniently near Dubai Mall, accessing the camp was hassle-free, with a taxi ride costing approximately 90 dirhams from the mall to the meeting point. From there, we were warmly greeted by a courteous driver who ensured our comfort throughout the journey. Upon arrival, we found ourselves among the first guests, granting us exclusive access to the serene surroundings of the camp. The staff, very friendly and attentive, promptly guided us through the facilities, ensuring we felt right at home. The accommodations exceeded expectations; our tent was spacious and well-equipped, featuring air conditioning and a generous supply of refreshments. While the communal bathroom was adequate, it didn't stand out as particularly remarkable. The culinary experience at Desert Oasis Camp was a highlight of our stay. The buffet showcased a delectable array of Arabian, Moroccan, and Emirati delicacies, complemented by traditional desserts that left us craving more. Evenings were enchanting, with three captivating dancing shows followed by an enlightening astronomy session led by the knowledgeable Hakim. The campfire ambiance, complete with freshly roasted sweet corn and sweet potatoes, added an extra layer of charm to the experience. The continuous offering of tea was a thoughtful touch that enhanced our relaxation. Throughout our stay, there was never a dull moment, thanks to the diverse range of activities available. From stargazing with telescopes to indulging in Arabian breakfast delights, Desert Oasis Camp ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy. In summary, Camp offers a delightful retreat for those seeking an authentic Arabian experience. From the warm hospitality to the enriching activities, every aspect of our stay was met with satisfaction. I highly recommend this desert haven to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Arabian desert.

United StatesHonestly we liked everything.
We were not sure what to expect, but, the experience was much better than our highest guess. First the tent was spacious, very clean, and just very cool. The staff was awesome. We had interactions with Ihtesham (transportation), Rashid (site manager), Amr (tour guide), Marvan (room service) and few others I can't remember the names of. They were all great. Responsive, polite, fun, and all around wonderful. I have to also mention the gentleman in charge if tea nd coffe made over charcoal, who was from Yemen. He was also very friendly eventhough he worked from 4 AM to midnight straight. We are very happy with this experience and if you are visiting Dubai you should give this camp a try. It's just a different experience comparing to typical Dubai experience. They offer one day tours too and they are great by I highly recommend staying one night to experience the night at the desert. Also the food was great, activities were fun and everything organized and clean. Did I mention the great staff!? Thank you team at the Alkheimah Camp. P. S. We are from USA and have been to many countries and hotels etc.

United KingdomI liked everything but if I have to give a feedback, it’s to improve the Moroccan cuisine (I am Algerian so would call it North African instead). The harira soup doesn’t taste like the one we make in North Africa and they served “Moroccan rice” with too much cinnamon. I am pretty sure, we don’t make this type to rice, we are more famous for couscous but we unfortunately didn’t have that… Otherwise, please don’t change anything else, it was perfect!
I really liked the camp design, the tent was very welcoming and includes all the nice amenities, the food was amazing and the shows and activities really nice! The best for me would be the staff. They were all very friendly and highly professional. Walid welcomed us and assisted us with great care!

Our guide Mr. Zaitooni was very friendly and helpful. He was like part of our group. He helped make my son's 18th birthday special by arranging an announcement, song and a special cake. Good BBQ dinner and breakfast. The special request for a vegan diet was also considered. Location is conveniently located about 30-40 mins from our location. Very well organized. No rush or push. Systematically planned and clean. A complete experience of the Emirati culture, food and desert experience. The star gazing, camel ride in the morning and the sunrise view are all an amazing experience. Will definitely visit again.
