Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

MaltaBoth flats which we rented need some TLC. To be fair the owner provided 2 chairs which were missing from one apartment and repaired the bathroom bulbs. However, there were missing items such as dish cloths or cloths to wipe the table. Information on how to operate/pin code for the key lockers and waste collection were missing in the info booklet provided. We also had slow internet connection, uncomfortable sofa beds, uncomfortable pillows and the sliding doors sometimes didn't close or open properly.
The location although on a uphill was great and thankfully the skiing equipment could be left in lockers which we rented for our stay. The view from the penthouse was also very nice. The place was equipped with a dishwasher, sufficient cuttlery, mugs and pots, a key locker outside each apartment and two decently sized bathrooms. Lifts access provided was also a plus.

United KingdomThe property isn't in the location as advertised, this apartment is not in the Sol Tarter Apartment building on Placeta Del Tarter it is 900m down the road, at the junction of Ctra. De Ransol. Beds unmade, very limited utensils, unstable & uncomfortable beds, reasonably clean apart from bath mat & ripped old looking shower curtain that doesn't fit the bath.
There is nothing wrong with the property if it was as advertised in terms of the location.

United KingdomWe had no hot water for 4 days and the host tried to say we were not using the taps right. Eventually when he realised he was not going to make a fool out of me an engineer fixed the boiler and it broke again on our last day so we could not shower before leaving. We had to leave at 10 am rather than 11 am and when we went to reception, which was the case during our full stay, as usual it was not staffed. I texted the host who at first agreed that was ok and then decided it wasn’t and said he would be with us in 10 mins. Due to time pressure we had to go on and he then sent a nasty message saying the apartment was dirtier than would have been normally and he was going to withhold our deposit. i replied stating that the apartment had been emptied of any rubbish, floors brushed, work surfaces cleaned and beds turned down and under no circumstances should he withhold any money other than the cost of 2 glass we broke. The fact that the water was an issue is one thing but the host was ignorant and unhelpful. The pillow on my bed had blood stains and when I asked for another he refused and told me the pillow case would cover it. 3 days later he bone a large cushion not a bed pillow. To sum up the apartment was good but ruined by poor service and an ignorant host.
