destination reviews from real travellers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

  • Hatta Resorts

    - “Great location, comfy and stylish accommodation, great facilities. We really appreciated the terrace with the bean bag bed for chilling out in the evening (night sky above your head) and the chairs and table for the breakfast that we ordered at the reception, and which got delivered to the door step. The lodge is top notch, with a proper fridge incl. freezer, a sympathetic shower and bathroom considering the total area of the lodge. It's unbelievable that everything fit in and is really good quality. Oh, and did I mention the comfy bed?”

  • Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, an IHG Hotel

    - “I really like that the room service is 24/7. The food was fantastic and very fast to arrive. The parking was easy, staff were lovely, rooms were sensational. Bedding very comfortable and the bath tub was perfect.”

    - “Excellent cosy and comfortable hotel that felt more like a home and in a very pretty area, only a few blocks walking distance to downtown Very reasonably priced for such a handy location Large room was warm but also able to open windows. Loved the little touches like the coffee station in the foyer of a morning. Friendly, helpful, funny staff. Very clean & rooms smelt lovely. We had a dinner and breakfast at the restaurants on the premises and both were exceptionally well priced & delicious”

  • FAV TOKYO Nishinippori

    - “Check in was easy, there’s a machine you just scan the QR given to you & scan your passports. Really friendly staffs!! Love our interactions & all very helpful with any questions we had. Room: We’re a small family of 3 (with a toddler) and decided we needed a bigger room + small kitchenette and this was the perfect solution for us! You’ve space for 1 large, 1 medium & 1 cabin size luggage comfortably. And a foldable stroller. Everybody gets their own bed (although the mattress is a bit hard for me but my husband loves stiff mattresses) The room is fully equipped, we could cook some easy breakfast in the room & microwave food. Amenities provided like cutleries, plates, knives, scissors, microwave and more! They even have a small portable vacuum which was awesome! Also love that the toilet is separated from the shower!! Connectivity: It’s a newly built & a modern hotel, right by several key train station lines to tourist attractions! It’s a few minutes walk to JR Nishinippori line which takes you directly to Shibuya, Ginza (through Yurakucho) Shinjuku & Harajuku. It’s also a few mins walk to Chiyoda Line which can easily take you directly to Tsukiji Station (the famous Tsukiji market) All you need is the Google Maps app and you’re ready to use the trains like a pro. Right by our hotel there’s a lift (for family using stroller or wheelchair) so it’s pretty accessible for everyone. Convenience: Right in-front of hotel there’s a Daily Yamazaki that is opened from 6:30am till 9:00pm so you can buy drinks/sandwiches. They can also do the Yamato Transport for your luggages if you need to send your luggage across Japan! (Send before 9:30am day before your arrival at new city so it arrives just as you are) Food is easily available around hotel: Ramen shops, Yoshinoya, McDonalds so you’ll never be hungry.”

  • Hotel Sint Nicolaas

    - “The beautiful, stylish decoration and furnishings, the lobby with comfortable seating and the location.”

  • Hotel Betmanowska Main Square Residence Adults Only

    - “Breakfast was plentiful you could order what you liked, and if you were feeling brave you could have a prosecco with breakfast, everything was amazing! So thoughtful in the room a bottle of prosecco was waiting for us, also some lovely large apples, and the last day they gave us a bottle of wine, also the mini fridge which was free of non alcohol drinks which was restocked every day.”

  • SENSI Azores Nature and SPA

    - “Our stay at SENSI Azores Nature and SPA was wonderful, despite the weather in early April! The rooms were a comfortable size and the private pool was heated (although a little cold for April). We enjoyed the indoor heated pool as well that wasn't super busy. The property was great, but the best part of this place was the staff. It was our first time traveling internationally with our 10 month old, and everyone, especially the dining staff were incredibly nice and accommodating.”

  • Menshicov Boutique Hotel

    - “hardworking kitchen lady’s delicious breakfasts, cleanliness, rooms, location,”

  • The Narathiwas Hotel & Residence Sathorn Bangkok

    - “Quiet close enough to where I needed to go”

  • Sultans Royal Hotel

    - “My stay at Sultan's Royal Hotel in Istanbul was nothing short of fantastic! The hotel's location is absolutely superb, with an array of restaurants and tourist attractions within easy walking distance. What truly made my stay exceptional was the incredible hospitality provided by the hotel staff, particularly Sonia. She went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was comfortable and memorable. Every morning, Sonia greeted me with a warm smile and her caring demeanor made me feel right at home. Her attention to detail, especially during breakfast, was impeccable. She consistently checked in to see if there was anything else I needed, making sure I started each day on the right note. Furthermore, I was thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were immaculate, and the entire property was well-maintained throughout my stay. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in ensuring a pristine environment for guests.”

  • Jockey Club Suites

    - “Amazing value. Perfect location. Absolutely clean.”

I found the staff to be friendly and excellent in every way. When I went for breakfast in the morning, the server was already aware of my food intolerance issue. Brilliant communication, therefore, between reception and the breakfast room.

The Dragon Hotel is really more of a B&B. I was there on a Friday. I'm beyond the age of looking for a loud music bar or nightclub on a Friday night. But when I returned to the hotel at about 10.20pm, I discovered that thhe hotel did not have a bar, where one could relax with a drink for an hour or two before retiring. I was also looking for somewhere to reat on the Friday evening. There was a Brasseries, which seemed to be attached to the hotel, though it may be independent of the hotel. But when I went there to check the menu, I was told it was closed. I don't know if this was just the Friday I was there, or every Friday. Whiile the hotel's central location is easy to get to, and near the railway station, I found that the traffic noise from early in the morning can interrupt sleep if one is a light sleeper.

Location is great although there’s a main road which is quite noisy and is overlooked by certain rooms, friendly staff, good coffee, bar and mini shop in foyer.

Room electric tripped, keycard had to be reprogrammed 3 times, bedside light didn’t work, window was filthy, buffet breakfast was edible but not great, all cheap produce.

Beautiful view out of our suite, right near the arcades and lots of other attractions. Absolutely wonderful staff.

The plug in the bathroom sink was stuck ‘plugged’ but wasn’t too much of a big deal as it’d drain by itself overtime. The carpet in front of the balcony doors was wet when we first checked in and didn’t dry out by the time we left - just a bit odd really but genuinely fab staff, fab value for money. Thankyou for having us!

Host could tell their guests in advance that the entrance to the property is at the rear. When I booked it clearly said check-in is at 6pm. When you enter the room there are (2) laminated signs one on the wall and one on the desk to make sure you can't miss it, telling you that check-in is between 4 to 6pm.. Why do that? When I told the host that the TV was on standby but the remote was not working.. She came into the room did something at the back of the TV and hey presto the remote was suddenly working.. When tried to turn it off with the remote, it would not work (when I asked her what she did she would not tell me). When I decided to make a hot drink I had a choice of 2, either Tetley tea bag or Coppichuno...no ordinary coffee.. The first thing I did was to give the cup a good wash because traces of Coppichuno was stuck to the inside (how the host failed to see the white residue of Coppichuno in a dark coloured cup is beyond me. The wooden floor is very nice but you can hear every movement made by the guest next-door.. For that reason didn't sleep very well so I checked out at 6am. (do not expect a cooked breakfast) the host told me the Council will not give her a license.

Where shall i start? It needs updating. Try the one percent things first like touching up scuffed paint, cleaning the walls in the bathroom in room 216, there were cobwebs, the mattress was like it had been used in a circus event, the hotel is in major need of renewal or your business will fail, GET THE LIFT WORKING, and it’s common curtesy to have a male porter assisting guests with heavy luggage not always dumping that on a female member of staff. ALSO evidence of vaping in the lounge I found some filthy persons used vape coil sitting on the window ledge! There was no value for money, I feel for the staff who are clearly understaffed and trying their best but clearly the issues come from higher up. Remember a fish rots from the head down!
