Location is fantastic. It is a 2 minute walk from Waverley Station so easy access on arrival. The hotel is great for going to either new town or old town. It is also at the base of Carlton Hill. The shopping centre is also only a couple of mins walk away, which has lots of great eating options. The flat was large, had two good sized bedrooms, and living room was comfy. Wifi was also excellent. Staff were friendly.

The hotel is within minutes of walk from King’s Cross station, which was why we chose it in the first place. The atmosphere was cosy and the room was very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee was even offered on site when we check in/out. Shame we didn’t have time to sit down and enjoy a cuppa! Next time then ;-)

Our room was directly underneath the hall way and even though it was sound proofed very well in general, the footsteps (weight of walking) did come through and it could be a little unsettling during the night for some. It was a very pleasant stay nonetheless.

I was in Rm 213 old bldg, the room is not well lighted the Light on top of the mirror is broken ( no light) there is a foul smell coming from the sink. The room is not warm enough in this kind of weather.

Location for NC500 was fine. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Tea and coffee in room. Bar for drinks was Ok.

Room was over 2 floors, very dated decor. Smelt musty on arrival and room was cold on arrival ( although did heat up quickly when wall heaters switched on). Mattress cover was tatty and torn and hardly covered mattress which was concerning. Room generally outdated although shower had been upgraded and was hot. Overall, value for money poor.

No telephone in room and white plaster all over bathroom floor 45 min standing to check in is not on especially when you get guests that have already checked in coming to reception and being attended to by staff that should be checking in guests they should be made to stand in the queue like the rest of us
