Fantastic pub B&B in a beautiful village location. Very cosy and spotlessly clean room. Friendly and helpful owners who have added many thoughtful additional touches which made our stay even more special. Great breakfast - good quality ingredients and generous portions! Lovely garden at the back too - perfect for a quiet read. Really well situated - close to some great walks, Totnes, the River Dart, Greenway House, beautiful beaches and other wonderful sights.

The property was set in a lovely and well-maintained garden, surrounded by hills with sheep. It was so peaceful and lovely. The host offered to cook breakfast earlier than usual to accommodate my schedule. That was lovely. The breakfast was very nice with homemade rhubarb, and honey from the host’s own beehives. The property is located 300m away from a local put which serves food. This was great for the evening as we did not have to use the car to dine.

If there is anything I would like extra, this would be the use of a TV in the room and a good wi-fi for the guests. I missed messages from the group I was meeting the next day because of poor phone signal. Wi-fi would have helped a lot.

I was attending a conference at the ICC and planned to cycle there each day. The hotel were happy for me to keep my bike in my room so it was secure and arranged for me to have a ground floor room near the door to make that easier to achieve. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food at the Hungry Horse was cheap and tasty. The bed was comfortable and the heating was excellent!

The lumpy pillows were the only significant problem.

Lovely location and grounds and very easy to walk into Cromer. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and well serviced. I ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food was amazing. Will stay again.

My room was next to a staff area and there was a lot of footfall in the early evening but it wasn't really a problem.

We were made very welcome at The Raffles by staff and family. We particularly appreciated the very comfortable bed, good quality bed linen and towels, the superb breakfast and all the attentiveness to dietary requirements.

There really wasn't anything that could have been better.

Location was excellent, the room was a little small but quite adequate for a single person and a one night stay.

It was not possible to open the window to get some fresh air, but this was a minor issue

Was under the impression I was booking a room at a hotel through bookings.com, I had ticked the 'hotel' filter when finding somewhere to stay. This is not a hotel, its essentially a 'rent-a-locker'. Tiny, uncomfortable room. No staff. Convoluted 'check-in' system and digital codes for entering the building and room which always was a faff to get working. Located near Haymarket station but seems to be a gathering spot for local 'characters' outside the convenience store so was very stressful being heckled and worried about people trying to get in the building while you work out the stupid digital code system to unlock the door. The sink cabinet corner is so close to the toilet that you can't sit comfortably, you can barely get in the shower at all the space is so tight. Dangerous windows. Overall I can confirm I would never stay here again or recommend this to anyone else.
