destination reviews from real travellers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

  • Hatta Resorts

    - “Great location, comfy and stylish accommodation, great facilities. We really appreciated the terrace with the bean bag bed for chilling out in the evening (night sky above your head) and the chairs and table for the breakfast that we ordered at the reception, and which got delivered to the door step. The lodge is top notch, with a proper fridge incl. freezer, a sympathetic shower and bathroom considering the total area of the lodge. It's unbelievable that everything fit in and is really good quality. Oh, and did I mention the comfy bed?”

  • Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, an IHG Hotel

    - “I really like that the room service is 24/7. The food was fantastic and very fast to arrive. The parking was easy, staff were lovely, rooms were sensational. Bedding very comfortable and the bath tub was perfect.”

  • Mandala Hostel Jeri

    - “The best hostel in my brasil trip. Super open voluntaries and staff. Also the best breakfast I had (with Garçon) Group singing session nearly everyday at the veranda. I wished this group constellation had lasted longer <3”

  • James Bay Inn Hotel, Suites & Cottage

    - “Excellent cosy and comfortable hotel that felt more like a home and in a very pretty area, only a few blocks walking distance to downtown Very reasonably priced for such a handy location Large room was warm but also able to open windows. Loved the little touches like the coffee station in the foyer of a morning. Friendly, helpful, funny staff. Very clean & rooms smelt lovely. We had a dinner and breakfast at the restaurants on the premises and both were exceptionally well priced & delicious”

  • Kloster Malgarten

    - “It’s simply amazing! Such an old building with a soul, restored and redecorated in the original style. The heart of the owner and his persistence created a one of a kind place. I felt welcome and could relax and de-stress and I lingered for hours not wanting to leave this place.”

  • FAV TOKYO Nishinippori

    - “Check in was easy, there’s a machine you just scan the QR given to you & scan your passports. Really friendly staffs!! Love our interactions & all very helpful with any questions we had. Room: We’re a small family of 3 (with a toddler) and decided we needed a bigger room + small kitchenette and this was the perfect solution for us! You’ve space for 1 large, 1 medium & 1 cabin size luggage comfortably. And a foldable stroller. Everybody gets their own bed (although the mattress is a bit hard for me but my husband loves stiff mattresses) The room is fully equipped, we could cook some easy breakfast in the room & microwave food. Amenities provided like cutleries, plates, knives, scissors, microwave and more! They even have a small portable vacuum which was awesome! Also love that the toilet is separated from the shower!! Connectivity: It’s a newly built & a modern hotel, right by several key train station lines to tourist attractions! It’s a few minutes walk to JR Nishinippori line which takes you directly to Shibuya, Ginza (through Yurakucho) Shinjuku & Harajuku. It’s also a few mins walk to Chiyoda Line which can easily take you directly to Tsukiji Station (the famous Tsukiji market) All you need is the Google Maps app and you’re ready to use the trains like a pro. Right by our hotel there’s a lift (for family using stroller or wheelchair) so it’s pretty accessible for everyone. Convenience: Right in-front of hotel there’s a Daily Yamazaki that is opened from 6:30am till 9:00pm so you can buy drinks/sandwiches. They can also do the Yamato Transport for your luggages if you need to send your luggage across Japan! (Send before 9:30am day before your arrival at new city so it arrives just as you are) Food is easily available around hotel: Ramen shops, Yoshinoya, McDonalds so you’ll never be hungry.”

  • Hotel Sint Nicolaas

    - “The beautiful, stylish decoration and furnishings, the lobby with comfortable seating and the location.”

  • Hotel Betmanowska Main Square Residence Adults Only

    - “Breakfast was plentiful you could order what you liked, and if you were feeling brave you could have a prosecco with breakfast, everything was amazing! So thoughtful in the room a bottle of prosecco was waiting for us, also some lovely large apples, and the last day they gave us a bottle of wine, also the mini fridge which was free of non alcohol drinks which was restocked every day.”

  • SENSI Azores Nature and SPA

    - “Our stay at SENSI Azores Nature and SPA was wonderful, despite the weather in early April! The rooms were a comfortable size and the private pool was heated (although a little cold for April). We enjoyed the indoor heated pool as well that wasn't super busy. The property was great, but the best part of this place was the staff. It was our first time traveling internationally with our 10 month old, and everyone, especially the dining staff were incredibly nice and accommodating.”

  • Menshicov Boutique Hotel

    - “hardworking kitchen lady’s delicious breakfasts, cleanliness, rooms, location,”

  • The Narathiwas Hotel & Residence Sathorn Bangkok

    - “Quiet close enough to where I needed to go”

  • Sultans Royal Hotel

    - “My stay at Sultan's Royal Hotel in Istanbul was nothing short of fantastic! The hotel's location is absolutely superb, with an array of restaurants and tourist attractions within easy walking distance. What truly made my stay exceptional was the incredible hospitality provided by the hotel staff, particularly Sonia. She went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was comfortable and memorable. Every morning, Sonia greeted me with a warm smile and her caring demeanor made me feel right at home. Her attention to detail, especially during breakfast, was impeccable. She consistently checked in to see if there was anything else I needed, making sure I started each day on the right note. Furthermore, I was thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were immaculate, and the entire property was well-maintained throughout my stay. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in ensuring a pristine environment for guests.”

We had a really great time in a room with a fabulous view of the city. The staff were exceptional, very welcoming, friendly, attentive and cheerful. Special mention to Singh on the front desk and Rohit who had a fabulous smile. Food was delicious and very nicely presented. Hotel is ideally situated for walking into Bath and close to the Royal Crescent and The Circus. Would highly recommend this hotel

It was clean and had all amenities needed. It was good value for money and parking on site was a real bonus. The communal kitchen was clean and tea/coffee and milk was provided. There was a fridge to put your food and a microwave if you need it. There is a tv area and a small lounge (no tv in room). It was easy to call the staff to gain access key. Good wi-fi.

There were a couple of things that could be improved. Firstly, it was on a main road, at the front and ground floor. There were NO net curtains for privacy so I had to close the night curtains and use the lights from 3pm arrival or I felt like I was on display. Secondly, it was freezing in the room and the only working radiator was a small towel rail. I tried to turn up the radiator but it didn’t come on. Luckily, there was another single bed so I slept under two duvets. There is NO soundproofing at all and floors really creak. There was a couple in a room near mine who were very noisy and I think she must have seen a spider or something as at 8am I was woken to loud screaming and jumping around! No safe available so brought a lockable case to hide belongings. Someone left the back door open a couple of times and the back gate wasn’t locked so could have been more secure.

Travelled with two friends and we booked a family room, on the 4th floor. Four decent sized single beds, good sized room. Location was excellent as was the breakfast, plenty of choice and help yourself.

Decent bathroom good size shower, but sometimes the water temperature was difficult to regulate. More coat hangers would be a bonus and coat hooks on the back of room door would be useful.

Great facilities, spacious, well located, useful local information provided, good secure car park and very receptive, helpful staff. Good local pub restaurants in the area and lots to see.

Out first apartment hadn't been processed at all after the last guest when we got there, although we were instantly upgraded to one that was by Victoria, who was very helpful and rather mortified and concerned as to what had happened to the cleaner. It didn't spoil our stay as it was all resolved within minutes. The replacement was absolutely spotless, except for under the bed which was dusty. Heating controls were difficult to work out, although hosts indicated to call to get instructions, most guests don't like to, The area as a whole isn't great for wi-fi and a q-reader is needed to get the apartment information, but once we'd overcome the initial difficulties logging into the apartment wi-fi, all was fine. The apartment key system relies on a number fob - I hope the number gets changed after every guest as otherwise, it will only be a matter of time before an observant and determined visitor gains unauthorized access.

Literally the only issue was that the cold water wasn’t very cold and the deluxe room was 2 single beds pushed together.

Tv didn't work (resolved later). Woken early daily by garage door being opened. Limited kitchen facilities. Bathroom is downstairs and was always cold. Accidental damage deposit of £300 seems excessive when our 4 night stay didn't cost much more than this. Think it would deter some people from booking as we thought twice about it before booking.
