The staff were lovely. It was amazingly cheap. The room was comfortable and quiet. The bar was great, lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for you,the food was decent and plentiful. Breakfast was good, plenty of options.

I had a dog with me, and was given a beautiful room with access straight out to garden. The lady on reception recognised my name as I've stayed here many times before, hence the perfect room

It was our wedding day, so wanted to treat ourselves. Upon check in, the receptionist didn't show us the room or give us the vital information like "checkout time, usage of spa, etc". Entering the room there was a plate saying "happy anniversary" which shows the lack of attention to detail, given that we had just celebrated our wedding reception in their Booking Office restaurant. We had forgotten our iphone charger so enquired a front desk about it which told us that they have the adaptors but not the lead, so we went out to get a USB lead from a shop, when we went to the front desk for the abovementioned adapter they had, they simply said they don't have it and we should go to WHSmith to buy it. We had already booked a Spa treatment for the next day and we went down to check with the spa staff if it was okay to use the facilities before our treatment, the spa staff informed us that since we were hotel guests, we have complimentary access to the spa, which is another thing that the lady who checked us in forgot to mention. The toilet is situated in a very tiny corner which when you sit down you have no access to the toilet paper. The bath tub has a very tepid water, so we had to boil water ourselves to run us a hot bath. For 5 star hotel, it had no entertainment option on the TV, other than Youtube and only if we connect our devices to it. I had Disney+, Netflix and HBO access in a 3 star hotel in Margate. They also call their front desk a "butler service" which is very misleading.

I booked this knowing it was the prisoner convention the food is very expensive but staff are amazing it’s for the well heeled people to be honest and that was more than obvious
