The reception staff were very helpful as i had to make this booking for my dads 80th birthday and needed him to be able to book in early. the reception staff made this happen the room was perfect and the staff left a happy birthday message for my dad

was worried about valet parking but this like the everything else about our stay was excellent, room was very spacious with a brilliant view, excellent breakfast as was the dinner we had at the hotel.

Room was nice, beds were comfortable. We used the in house restaurant and the pool/sauna. The food was delicious in the bar and the service was good. Drinks were served in decent glasses.

Building is a gorgeous Georgian home, and would’ve been wonderful in its day. So much potential! Receptionist is lovely and my bed was comfortable.

There was definitely a fire alarm that triggered and it startled me as it was outside my room (which it should do so! I was in number 6). It was switched off before I was able to leave the room so went to bed. I was worried to find out that not all people heard it and nor was there roll call conducted. The property is also advertised as having spa facilities and a bar. The spa and bar have been shut since Covid, so not sure why there are photos still posted advertising this. It’s a shame about Anita‘s comments and review. She was around the weekend I was there with my friends. She seemed very pleasant and in agreement with the issues that she overheard the group I was with discussing. But it appears it was a facade - I guess it isn’t just books that have two faces. I think she misses the point that good and bad feedback is important so improvements can be made and businesses can run more successfully. I hope Anita enjoyed her free nights accommodation.

Listing said linen was provided, but it wasn't confirmation advising this, was received after we'd left home. So I had to go and buy bed linen and towels from a supermarket. The caravans are so close together that you can hear everything going on either side. Workmen staying in caravan behind were leaving at 7.30am everyday with a very loud van engine literally 12 inches from the bedroom window. Awful waterproof cover on duvet made sleeping very uncomfortable.
