The location is very interesting. A short walk round the corner brings you to the sea. There was a bitter wind blowing when I went fora pre-breakfast walk, so I was not tempted to go down to the beach, but the view was wonderful. A few yards down the road towards the town is the beautiful Pannett Park, in which stands the fascinating Whitby Museum. I spent two hours there , and even so did not examine every detail. Breakfasts? Excellent. I chose the kipper for the first morning and the very comprehensive meaty breakfast for the second. The house itself is a great example of the Yorkshire building tradition; solid and stylish. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Ihave promised Julia that I shall go to Glenora again if I return to Whitby.

Difficult to find any fault, considering the excellent value 8for money. An en-suite toilet and shower are always nice, but I did not mind at all having to cross the landing.

Brentwood is based on an excellent idea - i.e. provide just what is needed without further complications at a brilliantly low price. No food, but York is full of cafes. No en-suite shower, but I really appreciated the en-suite toilet. Great for the unaccompanied traveller pursuing particular interests (nearby museums, in my case). Considering the low cost I was prepared for a slightly dog-eared environment, but no. This is clean and very nicely decorated accommodation.

Entry requires two codes. Yhe first keypad, by the front door, is reasonably easy to use. The one that resembles a combination lock, outside the room, which delivers the key, is much more difficult. At least I was forced to learn how to use my phone as a torch, so thanks for that!

We had a lovely stay at Lirie's home. This flat was about 10 minutes walk from Hammersmith with Ravenscourt road being a little closer. There is a supermarket and great coffee within 5 minutes walk. The house was clean and and comfortable. There are two toilets which was awesome as there were 4 of us travelling. Lirie was super easy to communicate with and very helpful. Overall a great stay.

Our only thoughts were that there are no block-out curtains so if you like it super-dark at night that might be an issue (we got a sleeping mask for the child that likes it super dark) - otherwise it was wonderful!

Very welcoming, clean and total privacy despite sharing the apartment with Dan. Great location just 5 mins to metro and bus stop. Food places closeby. Just 1 station away from Deansgate or 18 minutes walk. Cat lives downstairs and your room is upstairs. Total privacy, clean and will definitely stay here again.

No lift so it may be a bit troublesome if you have heavy suitcases. Stairs to second level of the building, and then to the second floor of the apartment to your room.
