Rooms are located in converted outhouses. Spacious, good facilities, own front door, (handy for dog owners) overlooking the carpark, pub restaurant next door. Everything was spotless and so comfortable. The staff in the popular pub were also very friendly, a good place to relax and unwind after a long journey. Away from the motorway, it's the kind of location we'd never have found without booking.com.

I was here last year. , I had a great stay (my review for that stay is on here), so I came back and, once again, I was not disappointed. I had a single room this time, it was fine for an overnight stay. So, as I say, like last year, I had an enjoyable stay but this time I didn't indulge in the amazing cream tea that is available here.

We liked the late check out, although we left very early, the radio was on with some nice jazz in the room when I arrived. Spotlessly clean, good service, highly recommended.

Very good breakfast, also had good meal the night before, enjoyed the fish Friday with a free drink.

There was no heating on in the bedroom, it was quite chilly. The shower was good but there was no hot water in the wash basin. The double duvet was too small, I think you need a king size on a double bed. Just small points, we were only there for one night and I’m sure if we had asked it would have been sorted.

Tiny room. Really really missed not having a kettle in the room- a must for travelling. Lighting in room was poor- no main light in bedroom area of room. No one informed me of availability of breakfast- therefore I didn't know it was available in hotel and went without for 3 days

Flat was clean, could with a bit of a makeover as was a bit dated. Bannister on staircase broken. Not what it looked like in the photos.
