This hotel is in a wonderful location and oozes with character and if you ask, the history is very interesting. I used to live in Lyme so know it well, my booking was spontaneous and the comfortable room and awesome shower, much needed. I cannot fault the staff. From the moment I walked in everyone was so friendly and helpful. Sharon D on reception is fantastic! The staff in the bar were super welcoming too. I wish I knew everyone's names to mention them personally but sadly I don't. The breakfast is amazing, lots of choice. I really recommend this place for a slice of historical Lyme Regis in the bustling centre, with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We were shown two rooms and we got to choose which one to have! Such great customer service. The room was cleaned well daily, the double bed was 160 cm wide (something very rare in London hotels) and the mattress plus pillows excellent. We had a nice view to a park, and the neighbourhood was really peaceful, yet very close to restaurants, shops, bars and metro. Also there was an elevator in the hotel. This really was one of the best stays in London for us!

Everything was excellent!

A beautiful, thoughtfully set up place. Great bathroom, kitchen was great for doing meals after going out. Hosts were absolutely lovely. We used it as a base to explore lots of places over Northumberland and it was a good location for this but, to be honest, the local area was so nice we could have spent lots of time there.

Nothing.

Really attractive courtyard outside the room. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. A good range of places to eat close by and a supermarket round the corner.

The distance between the car park and the rooms but this is unavoidable and it wouldn't stop me staying there another time

The location was excellent. The room had everything I needed. It was clean. I will stay there again as it makes sense for the costs of the room.

The only area for improvement is the duvet. The bed had a very thick, I assume 15 tog, duvet on in a mild April. I didn't sleep that well as it was way too hot for the conditions and yet too cold out of the duvet. A much thinner spring/ summer duvet would make more sense but, that was my only issue.

The Bistro is a great place to dine and the food is superb served by the very attentive staff. An excellent stay.
Negative section of review
It just needs to be made a little clearer on the advertisement that the Bistro is not open on some nights so you need to goo out of the property to eat.

The position is excellent, near to the railway station near to the city centre & nice walks .

You need to watch your head on the beams, but it adds character and we were in the roof. There are signs telling you.
