Such a beautifully restored barn, with lots of original features. The views are stunning, the hot tub was hot and everything was so clean!! Lovely soft towels and bedding and the bed was so comfy! Loved the addition of board games and plastic glasses for the hot tub! The outdoor games, fire pit & bbq weren’t used but were fab!! Great idea!

One bathroom/shower/toilet could be problematic if more than one bedroom occupied. The hot tub would only comfortably allow for two ppl, which again would be problematic if there was a group staying. Could have done with some more lighting in the kitchen area.

Proximity to park, lots of stuff to do with the kids, good food options so didn’t need to go out looking for restaurants. Pool and splash area good for little ones. Early access to the park and activities in and around pretty useful.

Rooms and facilities a bit dated but nothing major. £2 per towel for the pool so would advise bringing your own.

Restaurant very good. Communal spaces light, airy and attractive. Staff very helpful and professional. Garden at the front lovely with box hedging and trees in blossom. Masks the busy road outside. Comfy beds. Very quiet hotel.

There was a bizarre strip of mirror over the "dressing table" that was impractical to use. Had to kneel on floor or bend down to look in it while drying hair, but plenty of space above for a full mirror. Large crack across full length of sink. No sockets or charging points near to the bed.

Great host, really welcoming. Will definitely return again as it’s a perfect location close to york. Lodge facilities were perfect, log burner, outdoor BBQ/fire pit and modern interior. Hope to return.

Not the biggest room but just a convenient overnight stay near Waterloo needed. Comfortable bed, big TV and decent shower so all good.

Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Mattresses were comfy. Location is fabulous!

1. Rooms were a bit too stuffy and warm. Tried to set the thermostat of the air conditioner to the lowest setting but to no avail. 2. Female receptionist was quiet unpleasant to my uncle when he found that his keycards to his room does not work. She said that since he was checking out, he doesnt need to use his keycard to go downstairs and took with her, his keycards!
