The location on the beach and view across the channel is wonderful. book the beachfront bungalows. the food is extremely tasty and delicious. the staff and in particular Pen who runs it are helpful and a joy.

Me and my fiancee enjoyed our stay at Evergreen and wished we had more time there. The staff is really helpful. They arrange free rides a number of times a day, and in other occasions will call a taxi for you. The yard is taken excellent care of. There's a nice pool and lots of greenery around. Calm, relaxing surroundings. The hotel has a restaurant too. We loved dining there for the last two nights once we found out how good green curry they make! 😍 Even though it's not by the beach, it's definitely worth coming here. It's close to nature and you can still take a bicycle (offered for free by the hotel) and explore around.

The room we were in felt so open and bright. The food was excellent. The best thing though was the incredible hospitality of the staff and owners. We really felt like we were welcome and looked after there. When we first arrived we were immediately disappointed to drive beyond all the hustling built up centres on Koh Chang but by the end of our start we would choose Amber sands again in a heart beat.

It was all so great! The location (quiet northern part of the island), the views, the food, the staff, the room itself, the service, the immaculate attention to detail in everything. The garden, beach and grounds were maintained daily, and that alone made the stay such a joy. The chef in the kitchen understands flavors and knows how to cook everything to perfection (from the pancakes in the morning til the more complex Thai dishes at night). Little things that made the stay perfect were the staffs’ ability to anticipate our needs, and the little complimentary snacks the staff would bring in the afternoon while we were chilling in the garden or on the beach. We can’t wait to return here one day soon!

During their stay at Serenity Resort, guests can enjoy free uses of paddle boards and kayaks to explore the bay. The beachfront restaurant and bar is open all day serving both Thai and Western dishes as well as signature cocktails. We liked the remote and quiet location away from the busy tourist area. In this location you should have your own mode of transport, then all is well.
