From The Twenty Lodge, it is only 5 minutes’ walk to Chiang Mai market and Wat Phra Singh. Chiang Mai International Airport is a 30-minute drive away. This is our second time here after just one week, and I can confirm our first excellent impression and review. The room this time was smaller (which is not a problem) but very charming, with stained glass windows and equipped with all the comforts. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, and the location makes this place our go-to spot in Chiang Mai whenever we return. Breakfast is very good. Highly recommended.

The building, the facilities, the food and most importantly: the staff. Poppy, Nest and Praew made our stay, our meals and all our activities so pleasant. The included breakfast is fantastic and the restaurant on site has a Michelin guide certification which tells you all you need to know about the quality of food. The property has everything you need so no need to venture far, however, the bicycles are available for use and scooter rental is cheap and convenient to do.

Hongkhao Villa offers a Lanna-style boutique resort located in Chiang Mai, close to the Mae Ping River. With it's hotel name translating to 'white swan' the property features different tones of white and genuine teak furnishings throughout. Very nice little hotel just outside the old town. Large, comfortable, clean and stylish rooms. Very good and quiet air conditioning. Sufficient, good and varied breakfast. Clean pool with good water temperature and comfortable outside area next to it. Polite helpful and available (until 24.00) staff. The exteriors of the hotel are beautiful and well maintained, with many large plants. You feel like you are on the edge of the jungle. We had a rental car initially, but when we left it we got around easily and cheaply by taxi or the red buses. With 100-150 baht you go quickly to the old town or the airport. There are several dining options nearby, but while the places are beautiful, neither the service nor the food satisfied us. On the last day it was raining a lot and we preferred to order pizza and eat it in the covered pool area. It was very nice. Overall the hotel was beautiful with a relaxing environment. We will stay there again on our next visit to Chiag Mai.

Situated in the sleepy farming village of Huai Sai in Mae Rim, Country Retreat offers bungalows and an outdoor pool. It is 20 km from the centre of Chiang Mai city and free WiFi is available throughout. Ying was an extraordinary cook. The breakfast and dinner meals were absolutely wonderful. She cares so much for every guest's experience and moves well beyond expectation. Thank you Ying and Pete!
