Located on Samal Island, Hof Gorei Resort features traditional bungalow accommodation. It has an outdoor pool, surrounded by tropical gardens with panoramic views of the Davao Gulf and Mount Apo.

All rooms at the Hof Gorei Resort are air conditioned and come with a balcony or terrace, TV, minibar and private bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities are provided. We arrived a day earlier than anticipated, they were generous enough to get us settled in a different room and give us 5 star treatment. The owner came to our room to personally inspect it. We stayed here because we couldn't find any availability at pearl-farm, which I had stayed at a few years back and loved. Now I don't understand why anyone would stay at pearl-farm over this place. This is a better resort, hands-down. The food is much better, the service is much better, and it is far prettier than pearl-farm. If it hadn't been for me being sick and desparately needing wifi from bed, the stay would have been perfect.
