It offers guests free Wi-Fi, and ski storage lockers are available right at the entrance. Incredible service and incredible overall experience. It's like staying in a fancy cabin in the snow. The lounge area with the giant fireplace is awesome, very nice food, very spacious rooms and first class facilities such as the onsens and indoor swimming pool. The decor could be interpreted as dated (as other reviews have stated) but we felt this simply adds to the warmth and cosiness of the establishment. The service here is seriously next level and it is fantastic value for money.

Meal options include Sukiyaki, Shabu-shabu, Sushi, Western buffet, Chinese and Italian cuisine. The view from our room overlooking the pond was beautiful. It snowed the second day we were there and it was magical watching it snow and hang in the trees. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Our room was warm, spacious and comfortable. The staff were lovely, always helpful. The drinks available in the lounge after 5pm were great. The food was traditional and high class service.

In the winter this place is probably perfect, right near a ski resort.
We loved the kindness of the owner, the cleanliness of the Resort and of the our room, the quality food and the silence and the incredible beauty of the Japanese Alps !
The rooms were beautiful. The staff incredibly attentive. And the private meals were amazing. Having our own Onsen in our room was a wonderful luxury. Though not extremely close to Nagano (an hour by train), the location is close to the train station to Nagano (a 10 minute walk) and very close to the Snow Monkey Park (a 15 minute ride) and mountain towns like Shibu. A lovely time - well worth the splurge.
Style, service and location. Perfection in Narai. Stunning modern aesthetic based in historic buildings. Staff went beyond to cater to any need. Food was just exceptional. Onsen pure luxury.
Traditional Japanese resort hotel with modern facilities. The onsen is nice.
Nice spacious huge room! Separate bathroom and toilet. Even has a cooking area with microwave, but ... strangely, no plates or bowls. Tastefully decorated place with all the amenities for luxury and comfort. Wished I had booked more nights. The hotel is also well situated far from the central activity. While it is a short distance from the train stations, it is nicely placed in the woods - good for a nice walk to beautiful greenery and quiet trails.
This place is incredible! The staff are amazingly polite and informative making you feel at home. The accommodation itself is of a surpurb standard being appoint with every luxury required, yet maintaining the Ryokan history. Onsens are delightful and access to onsen alley is literally on your door step. Cannot reccoment highly enough, this place is perfection.
The staff was great, the food was really good (though Western only), and the location was reasonable. It is close enough to several ski resorts, but obviously you're gonna need a car to get around. We had a good experience staying here for a long weekend while snowboarding.
Cozy, affordable, close to ski resort. Quiet area.
