The home-cooked breakfast every morning was excellent. Fresh food well-prepared. The owner, Ibu Saliza, remembered which foods I especially liked and made sure to serve them again and saved me some! She is also a great source of information and help. Saliza knows the flights and transport that Google doesn't and she will book them for you. Ask her anything about travel, local history, food, anything. She is a great person to chat with. The location was perfect. Nice and quiet all day and all evening. Good aircon for comfortable sleep at night, or sit out on the dock in the evening and enjoy the water and the stars. The snorkeling right off the dock was great--better than when I booked a seat on a dive boat. I initially booked three nights but extended to six, and wish I could have stayed longer!

Situated in Simeulue, less than 1 km from Nancala Beach, Momos Surf Shack features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The resort has a range of water sports facilities. We had a warm welcoming with fresh coconuts. Momo's is only 500 m from the Peak Surf Point. Also close to other surf break points. Momo's team took in a trip to show us the nearby surf spots. Also, motorcycles were available for rent at the property. The bangalows are beautiful, and comes with Sunset view. Delicious food is served on a daily with refreshing juices. Good vibes, friendly staff and most importantly affordable price.

Guests at the resort will be able to enjoy activities in and around Sabang, like snorkelling. The place is very private and quiet with gorgeous view at the sea, ideal to relax and enjoy lazy holiday atmosphere. It is within walking distance to a nearby village where you can enjoy a bit of local life. The cuisine at the resort is just great, and the staff is able to reflect one´s dietary needs and requirements + they serve the best coffee on Sumatra and fresh coconuts everyday. The bungalows have big beds with the best mattress ever and hot water. The owners as well as the staff were extremely helpfull with everything and very flexibly and kindly reacted to the change in our schedule caused by flight delay. They arranged for us the transport on the island as well as in Banda Aceh - Irrfan, the driver in Banda Aceh not only got us everywhere we needed when the schedule was tight, but also proved to be a great local guide who showed us all places of cultural and culinary interest in banda Aceh.

They are all incredibly welcoming, helpful and they made our stay what it was - the trip of a lifetime. Special mention must go to Un, Jupen and the activities team for turning me into a pro surfer, helping my husband catch the waves of a lifetime, and the epic snorkelling and mangrove SUPing. Justine was another stand-out; her positive attitude and thoughtful yoga sessions under the rising and setting sun were some of the highlights of our trip. Niko runs an amazing restaurant and the food put out by the chefs was out of this world (esp. the tuna tataki and mie goreng)! From an admin perspective, everything runs so smoothly at Awera. In particularl, the transfer service made us feel like vip’s and made for a particularly stress-free transfer experience.

I would say it’s the best hotel I have seen so far in terms of service, services , cleanliness and comfort. the food they prepare is also very good. the staff is always smiling and ready to help. thank you very much!!

It's a small island, but perfect for people looking for peace and quiet. People who like to spend time actively will not be bored either. There is a diving base on site, a great, very helpful and friendly instructor, you can also opt for kayaking and even a Robinson Crusoe adventure. Reef under reconstruction, but plenty of coral rich dive sites, and some good snorkelling. Bungalows comfortable, clean, close to the sea, electricity available most of the day. There is of course wifi. Shared toilets and shower, clean, nice shower. All staff VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. The hospitality we experienced was amazing! You can communicate in English, Indonesian but also Czech, which made us very happy. They will help organize transfer from Medan airport, boat from Singkil or other regions. Excellent cuisine on the island, seafood, varied meals and unlimited coconuts 😉 The atmosphere of the island and the people made us extend our stay and it was a great decision!

At the accommodation all rooms include a seating area. We had an amazing time at Ira’s! The location is very isolated so you really do feel like you’re alone on a tropical island. Good snorkelling off the beach out front. We were able to get in some exercise by walking around the island (50 mins) or by playing volleyball. The huts are basic but have everything you need - bed, mosquito net, shelves, hooks and two comfy chairs on the porch. The three guys running the place were very kind and friendly, and we always had delicious meals. We took the public boat from Singkil (50k/person) and then Viki arranged for a driver to pick us up in Balai (300k/person). We were heading to Tailana after so Viki also arranged someone to pick us up and drive us there. Both boat drivers were super friendly and arrived on time. Like everyone says, it’s a journey to get there, but it’s totally worth it!

The property has a nice pool and several places to watch the sun set over the ocean. We were serenaded by frogs each night and enjoyed watching birds and monkeys in the trees.
