Travelers who really want to “get away from it all” trust resorts to provide the pinnacle of all-inclusive relaxation. Resort guests are invited to enjoy communal on-site amenities like pools, spas, restaurants, activities, excursions, and shops, and stay the night in luxurious private rooms, villas, or apartments.
The staff were lovely, super friendly and personable. I had requested a quiet room and they made sure to put me in a high room away from foot traffic, and it was clear that some thought had gone into the request. The "resort fee" was a surprise and a bit steep (I find it strange that non-resorts now charge resort fees, I don't actually need Wifi, or free water, etc) but was nicely offset by the $25 dining credit they allot. Used it to have breakfast, which was fine.
Hotel Zena is a trendy little hotel with a modern feel and "female power" vibe. I enjoyed the artwork throughout the property. My room had a great view of DC and the shower was in an interesting spiral enclosure. Since the resort fee they charge included a bike rental, I took advantage of it. The bed was comfortable, and the rooftop pool has great views!
The staff was SO curteous and helpful. We really appreciated that! The hotel is very centrally located, right by the White House. The entire place was very clean, and the bar has a really great cocktail menu! There is a resort/amenity fee that is charged for each room, but the value for that was pretty great! We got credit to spend at the bar and two tickets for the moonlight trolley tour around DC.
not too luxury. fair value for money given that there is a lack of very simple, but descent hotels for job accommodation. ie. spending little time at the hotel.
it was clean, lively atmosphere, extremely helpful staff, exceptional breakfast buffet, complimentary cocktails- honestly one of the best, non resort, stays we’ve ever had!
A. J The bartender on the rooftop pool bar is amazing and super friendly, and professional. We loved him. The IHG and AJ made our vacation feel like we were on a resort in Jamaica.
i like the location but not sure how it’s a 4 star hotel. no breakfast, rooms aren’t that great, beds are small and uncomfortable. not to mention when I got to the hotel they charged me 300 dollars extra for parking. supposedly 150 they hold until u leave but I wasn’t expecting the extra charge. Rooms just aren’t that great and they charge resort fee in top of the parking. i was disappointed for what we paid the room wasn’t worth it.
The hotel manager took care of issue and credited us the resort fee! The hotel restaurant was excellent! Great location!
