I liked that it was oceanfront and I didn't have to walk a long distance to get to the beach. It is a smaller hotel not a huge resort. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean.
I have not stayed at many 5 start resorts (none) but I can not imagine any of them being able to surpass our stay at the Comfort Inn Nags Head. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accomodating beyond expectation, though I my family and I have become frequent guests and know that this is an everyday level of quality and not a one time situation.
