The location was excellent, with central area, Walmart and gsstronomica area within walking distance.
There were design elements used to create the feeling of being in a beach style resort. As soon as you crossed the reception, there was a feeling of freshness and homeliness that crept in.
The staff was warm and friendly and made you feel welcome. Language barriers were easily worked around thru technology and willingness to communicate.
Nice and clean apartment. The host spoke english very well - that was helpful. He shower had hot water and the bed was comfortable. The room also had air conditioning. Of course it is no luxury apartment but for the price really good!
This hostel is the most high spec I’ve visited anywhere. it’s more like a luxury house with a cinemas room, fitness studio and amazing kitchen. This was a rare hostel were you actually want to cook! Location is around 35 minutes walk from the centre, so I found it useful that they have bikes for hire. Parque de las Americas is just a short walk away.
Good value for money, for a private room with bathroom but don’t expect any luxury. The room and bathroom are clean but with no outlook and had a massive uncomfortable chair which occupied half of it. It’s a bit away from centre but we like walking so didn’t mind.
Truly Gem
In summary, my time at this hotel exceeded all my expectations. The outstanding service, impeccable cleanliness, and relaxing ambiance make it a perfect choice for anyone seeking a high-quality lodging experience. I will definitely be back on my next visit!"
Excellent location in the centre of Merida. The staff was very helpful and kind. The room (in the modern building) was very spacious and clean (the cleaning lady passed every day to clean and tidy up). Very comfortable bed. Great value for money, compared to other similar type hotels in Merida (it is not a luxury hotel it is a simple town hotel and that is my criterion for my rating). Parking also was very convenient (100m from the hotel).
It’s a historical hotel which has a very decadent feel. Still not taken over by some wanna-be luxury chain. So if you like that, you’ll love it. We liked it this way. The location is great with the nice park in front. I loved the floors, the old doors and the comfortable beds.
