Located in the secluded Yasawa Islands, the eco-friendly Barefoot Manta Island Resort Resort is ideally situated for swimming, diving and snorkeling, as all bungalows are set on the beach.

Guests can enjoy a number of recreational activities on site or nearby, including volleyball, kayaking and hiking. Meals are prepared by the onsite kitchen, which serves Pacific Island-style dishes, using locally sourced produce as well as other cuisine. There is a compulsory resort package that includes meals, the use of WiFi, non-motorized water sports (excludes scuba diving) at an additional charge.

We stayed at Mana Island Resort, Octopus, Oarsman's Bay, and Barefoot Manta when in Fiji and Barefoot Manta was our favorite. The snorkeling here is by far one of the most amazing places I've ever been to. The coral was so colorful, and we saw many different types of sea creatures. They have a Marine Conservation Centre on site. It was pretty cool to see what they are doing to preserve the area. They give an hour lecture 2 times a day on ocean topics. We attended one on Coral and one on Manta rays. They do 2 free guided snorkeling tours a day. I recommend going on the morning tour when their marine biologist, Rob, is one of the guides, as he points things out and talks about the ocean life while you are snorkeling. The resort does not have ac which wasn't bad, but our bure was on the sunset beach side, and for some reason, the temperature was much hotter on that side. The sunrise beach side was less than a 2 minute walk and the wind was stronger and it felt a good 15 degrees cooler on that side. This probably changes throughout the year though so probably luck of the draw on which side you get. We slept with the fan on tho and it was fine. The resort grounds are very well kept...it's truly a gorgeous resort.

Amazing corals for snorkeling accessible right in front of the resort. The guided snorkeling we hired was also phenomenal. Loved the way they recicle their own water from the ocean and the eco toilets. The whole resort vibe is immaculate, perfect balance between an eco relaxed stay and a comfortable resort.

The resort is beautiful! The staff are friendly. There is a great variety of activities to choose from every day, and a lot of them are free, which is awesome. The facilities are very clean and I was impressed with how comfortable the dorm is.

Stunning location with amazing coral right off the beach. We spear gunned fish and the chefs made us fresh grilled fish and sashimi. The staff make the resort and need a raise asap - otherwise it would just have nice waters. Lots of different activities to choose from - mantaray tour, jewellery making, sunrise hike etc. I definitely recommend a reef bure - own private bathroom and air conditioning and private beach chairs that make a huge difference.

A beautiful resort with amazing facilities and friendly staff. I stayed for my birthday and was treated with a birthday song from the staff and made to feel so special. Johnno was excellent with the scuba and Milli was a great worker and friend to us all. Excellent food and very good vegetarian options

The resort is beautifully located and has great snorkeling possibilities directly from the beach. The staff are welcoming, especially in the restaurant. Bring cash if planning to go to the local village, this should be stated in the resort description or in other communication with guests.

Lunch food was good. Dinner was a 3 course meal which was usually good. There was one buffet dinner though that was not good. Snorkelling out the front of the resort was lovely!
