Mamanuca Islands
The absolute beachfront Serenity Island Resort features a bar, a restaurant, and a swimming pool. All accommodation offers beach or garden views.
Guests have an option to purchase Serenity Island Resort's very own Speed Boat service, which offers a luxury 25-minute boat from Port Denarau to the island. Taxi transfers from Nadi International Airport to Vuda Marina (a 30-minute drive) can also be arranged.
The island is serene, a little atoll of paradise. Please note there are rocks and dead coral on the seashore/beach (wear surf shoes) but there is sand, don’t let that put you off as snorkelling is great. So many varieties of fish, all colours, shapes and sizes, plus starfish, sea slugs, coral (unbleached). The room I had was a beach bungalow, so beautiful, newly decorated and fitted out, the bed was so comfortable 10/10 as I’m fussy and normally have an orthopaedic mattress with a 4” memory foam topper! Cleaned to the highest standard, little things left for you like an umbrella in your cupboard should you need it (I did!). The facilities are great, please don’t expect everything now and quickly as it’s Fiji time, but hey it’s worth the wait. The welcome you receive is the best you’ll ever receive, the singing and hospitality from the staff at Serenity, at the booth at Denarau Port to the staff on the boats and the island, my goodness me they put western hospitality (I’ve experienced) to shame. Anything you need (I had a little problem with hot water and tap) is resolved as quick as they can do it. The singing in the evening and birthday cake for guests make it feel special. I would recommend going to Viseisei the first village inhabited by the Fijians and home to many of Serenity, such a lovely welcome and insight into their culture. A big shoutout and thanks to Sammy, Mr T, Lucy, Gracie, Jarle (J) plus all the other staff. There is an atmosphere of being a family here at Serenity, they are mostly related, that could be the reason, and the majority of the guests talk to each other. I was travelling on my own and felt so happy there. Fijians = kindness and family Definitely visiting again.

Everything, kind and extremely helpful staff, could not do enough for you. Very thoughtful touches including welcome and farewell singing as well as birthday celebrations. Spectacular setting from the moment you step off the boat. Little birds that hop around the accommodation. We stayed in a bungalow with a stunning view. Can walk a lap of the whole island in 15 minutes. Incredible snorkelling with colourful reefs right off the beach. Snorkelled 1-2 hrs every morning and joined the free boat snorkelling trip numerous times. All inclusive meant 3 yummy cooked meals a day, including big firepit-roasted meat cookup on the Saturday night with Kava ceremony, limbo comp etc. Just paradise, really.
