My recent stay at Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort was an unforgettable tropical paradise experience. From the moment I arrived, the attentive and friendly staff made me feel like royalty. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect, from accommodating special requests to providing excellent recommendations for local activities and excursions. The culinary offerings at the resort were nothing short of exceptional. Each meal was a delightful feast for the senses, featuring a fusion of local flavors and international cuisine. The chefs truly outdid themselves, and I found myself eagerly anticipating each meal. Dining amidst the stunning backdrop of the lagoon and the lush greenery only added to the overall experience, making it a truly unforgettable gastronomic journey. The view and nature at Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort were simply breathtaking. The crystal-clear turquoise waters of the lagoon, dotted with overwater bungalows, created a mesmerizing panorama. The resort's location on a private island ensured a peaceful and serene atmosphere, providing ample opportunities to immerse myself in the beauty of nature. Whether it was lounging on the beach or exploring the island's tropical foliage, every moment was an escape into paradise. Above all, the resort offered the perfect environment to relax and unwind. The location was superb ,the beach view from the balcony was just beautiful, staff were helpful and lovely , the mattress was super comfortable, we forgot to message about our arrival time , but still we got picked up :) beauty of a tiny island . The bungalows are close together but do not feel crowded at all.

The overwater bungalows are great, as well as location and food. Ron from the reception was exceptional - a true professional and great person who makes you feel at home and well taken care of, same with service by Mere. Overall, I would have given 10 points - if it had not been for pre-arrival communication.

Tai Roto Bay is heaven on earth!!! Perfectly located on a beautiful lagoon, each self contained room is very private with a wonderful view of either the lagoon , garden or both. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. Cheran was very helpful in booking excursions and scooters. She and her family were helpful with anything we needed. She booked us with Charlie on a private whale watching excursion and it was amazing!!!!!! The resort if perfectly located walking distance to restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

Tavake villa offered a more budget friendly approach then the resorts on the island. However, with this came issues as stated below. We also enjoyed having access to a car to explore the island (for an additional cost)

Casual luxury is exactly what you get . Great location, great food , great service. Nothing was a problem. We spent 7 nights in a Beachfront Bungalow. Room 202 . Although all the bungalows look great and are located well it was worth the extra to be right on the beachfront. Having a beautiful breakfast included is fantastic and with either continental and / or full cooked al acarte it certainly sets you up for the day ! Don’t bother looking elsewhere, Tamanu Beach Resort is where you need to be 😊.Look forward to a return visit soon.
