Located within 500 metres of Calvinia Museum and 2.4 km of Calvinia Golf Club, Tarantula Guest House offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Calvinia. Our unit had its own private pool, which was wonderful after a long, hot day on the road. In addition to towels in the bathroom, beach towels were provided for the pool. The unit itself was large, comfortable, well equipped and clean. In addition to air-conditioning, the unit had solar-powered lights for load shedding. Check-in was easy and the hosts friendly and helpful. And the views were stunning!

It was much nicer than we expected. The room was stunning. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. She recommended a great restaurant for dinner. The next morning we had to leave early to get to Cape Town. She offered us a "to go" breakfast which was amazing! It held us through breakfast and lunch. I wish we had been able to spend more than one night here.
