Wonderful Island with wonderful places to stay and plenty of beautiful beaches. The population is very open and friendly. Unfortunately the sex industry has moved to Koh Chang too and is a bit too in your face.
The best way to describe Koh Chang is simply easy. What ever you want, from great restaurants, beaches, jungle, fishing, diving, night life, or just getting away from everything and everyone to relax. It’s all here, and all easily obtainable.
Koh Chang is beautiful island, easy to get around on local baht buses, plenty to see and do on the island. Waiting for the ferry to leave took over an hour in minibus was only downside.
Koh Chang is a beautiful island however avoid the west side of the island it is now too comercialised and the single rural road is a death trap with intoxicated drivers driving on the roads -- fatalities are a common occurrence especially on bikes . Hopefully the East side will remain pristine for many years to come and won't become like the west side for a long time .
We like Koh Chang for the WSB, walking along the sandy beach. This time we were food poisioned the forst day! My wife suffered that for 10 days more or less! I had 4 days out of service!
We have paid four visits to Koh Chang. It is such a green Island. The tree covered mountains rise magestically through the centre of the island. Little resorts are around the coastline. We love White Sands... . There are plenty of things to do on Koh Chang. It does rain quite a bit but it is such a beautiful warm rain and the plants need it. The sea is warm and clear with a lovely Sandy beach at White Sands . The colourful vendores sell their wares on the beach.
Amazingly beautiful island still not spoilt, would recommend everyone to visit Koh Chang. Lush green natural rain forest with white sand beaches with no jet skis or speed boats on the beach which makes it ideal for all kind of travelers.

The beaches were awesome, especially Haad sai khao (white sand beach) and the serene beach of Khlong Khloi. Our group booked a 5-islands-1-day snorkeling tour in Bangbao. The service was excellent; pick-up service from the hotel, snorkeling spots rich of fish and corals, friendly guides, delicious Thai lunch buffet and barbecue, and including free snorkeling equipment and kayak rent--all these for not more that THB 700/person. We went during Songkhran, so celebration was all around, with plenty water splashes. Unfortunately, the waterfalls were dried up during this season. Nevertheless, we still managed a little swim in Khlong Phlu waterfall. Make sure to not miss out the seafood in Koh Chang! The famous seafood buffet (Kung Kra Ta) and sea-side restaurants/bars in Lonely Beach are marvelous spots to spend the evening.
Koh Chang is a beautiful jungle island with a coastal strip of holding a bevy of different people. It is developed enough to provide everything you are looking for but not yet over developed to destroy what makes it beautiful and not Phuket. It’s villages are quite small and rustic in nature with local markets and street food. The west coast is where the majority of resorts, bars and tourists are. The beaches are spectacular. The sunsets draw dropping.

The vibe around the hotel whilst we were there was laid back..the breakfast has everything you could want including pad Thai green curry etc etc normally with lovely accoutrements. Manager upgraded our room without additional charge. He, along with the rest of the staff, were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has an infinity pool! We often swam in the pool in the evening after dinner. The hotel provides towels for both the beach and pool. Great location on a quiet street directly on Kai Bae Beach. It’s within walking distance to 7-Eleven, restaurants, shops, etc. We rented a scooter so we could visit other parts of Koh Chang. Breakfast buffet with both Thai and western dishes.

my favorite hotel on Koh Chang. I stay there every year. For me, the most ideal location in my opinion. Not far from lonely beach (5 minutes by bike, which can be rented at the hotel). Around the corner is a store that is open until 12 at night, a laundry and restaurants. The houses are located in a green garden, spaced apart from each other, which creates additional privacy. Very friendly staff). Ideal price-quality ratio. If you are a package tourist, then this hotel is unlikely to suit you.з
We stayed at their family room and it was huge. The hotel building is located about 500m from the beach but there is a non stop golf cart service to take you there. Very nice beach with a fabulous pool and a good restaurant. All facilities very clean and well maintained, good breakfast. This is a good place to stay if you want quiet beach time and/or explore the east coast of Koh Chang.

Best accommodation in Koh Chang for Low Budget! Amazing seaview, hammock on the balcony, very good WiFi, Moskito net, clean and quiet. The owners are the most friendly and helpful people I ever met in Thailand. There is even a water boiler which you can use, a really delicious café/restaurant next door, and two cute cats who love to cuddle.

Fred & Beau were really welcoming, friendly and helpful, made me feel like home. Room was actually bigger than it seemed on the pictures. When I left Koh Chang, I forgot my bank card to the room and they sent it with express delivery to my Bangkok hotel, I'm very grateful for that.
I love it there! I've been twice and I'm sure I'll come again and again. I'm not looking for luxury, I'm looking for Thailand and I found it on Koh Chang. Somewhere in Phuket, I felt a bit like I was in Europe. Plus, very calm sea with no surf, love Koh Chang.

The hotel is of course on one of the nicest beaches on Koh Chang. It is a huge resort with many facilities and pools. The room selection is a bit hard as there are many buildings and of course the buildings on the sea-side facing rooms is nicer but less budget friendly.
