Everything beautiful room huge bathroom! Spotlessly clean great breakfasts and all staff were outstanding Nothing was too much trouble from helping us with our luggage to arranging restaurants each evening and Suggestions for sightseeing The coffee shop is great and sorry do not know the the young assistants name but he seemed to work everywhere in the hotel assisting eveyone. He was great .a huge thank you Car parking an asset in the town The renovation and decor of the hotel is beautiful.

Located in Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, in historic Castelo de Vide, this characteristic and rustic Alentejo hotel offers elegant rooms with a flat-screen TV. Facilities include bicycle rental. Very central, within walking distance to cafes and restaurants. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. Beautiful view from a mountain room and no traffic noise. A very good standard of cleanliness in all areas.

Surrounded by the lush forests of the São Mamede Mountains in Portalegre, this former convent is decorated with several historic armors, weapons and antiques. Incredible historical property providing a quintessential Alentejo experience. The property despite historical/old is very well kept, and you can see how much attention to detail has been put by the (very kind) property owners in every corner. The swimming pool is absolutely outstanding, merging perfectly into the Alentejo background, giving a sense of freedom and harmony.

Located in Castelo de Vide and within 5.2 miles of Roman City of Ammaia, CASA DO PAÇO NOVO features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. The location was fantastic, in the center of the village. Our room had a view of the mountains, the staff were very attentive, the cleanliness and hygiene of the room were impeccable. I will recommend.

Located in 2 small traditional whitewashed houses in Marvão, this charming pousada offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains from its restaurant. Couldn’t ask for better location. Magical place with views far and wide and beyond the Spanish border. Excellent service from a dedicated and welcoming staff. Restaurant host, George is absolutely delightful and genuinely cares about guests having the best experience.
