Azoris Faial Garden – Resort Hotel is located in parkland on the edge of the historical city of Horta. It features indoor and outdoor pools and stunning views over the marina and Mount Pico. A very nice resort just at the harbor and Horta center for great money. Everything in walking distance. No problem with parking in May. Outstanding breakfast. Nice swimming pools, jacuzzi, sauna, etc. We stayed in one of the villas there. The room was very comfortable with a small terrace.

Set in a 16th century fortress overlooking Horta Bay and Pico island, this Pousada hotel features a swimming pool and regional restaurant. Most of the air-conditioned rooms have views of the marina. The balcony and the few from the hotel room was amazing. You see the sea, the sailing boats and the mountain Pico on vis a vis island, where behind the mountain the sun raises every morning. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast has a big selection. Location perfect vis a vis Supermarket, Restaurant and direct at the harbour, where the whale watching and other tours can be booked and start.

Offices, Local Transport, Taxies, Rent A Car, fuel Station, Sea Transport, Bicycle Stands, ATM Machines, Supper Markets, All kind of Shops for Shopping, Cafeterias, Restaurants, Parks, Beach, & Tourists Attractions. All these things are under the radius of 100 to 200 Meters or Maximum 300 Meters. The airport is 10 KM Away which is not much Far. It's Cool & Calm Area with Cool & Calm Accommodation with all necessary facilities. I simply recommend you due to its reasonable prices against all above mentioned. I will preferably book it again & again whenever I go to Horta.

Estrela do Atlântico in Horta provides accommodations with a garden and a bar. Featuring mountain and city views, this guest house also provides guests with free Wifi. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!

Filipa and Vitório are outstanding hosts. They are extremely kind, helpful and so happy to share information and give advice. The property has a terrace that provides an excellent view of Mt. Pico. The best sandy beach on Faial, Almoxarife, is nearby. The apartments are well-equipped and perfectly clean. Having access to the extensive garden and outdoor grill is a huge bonus. I absolutely recommend Quinta do Torcaz and definitely hope to come back again soon.

We will stay in Dabneys apartment every time we visit Faial from now on. The apartment and facilities were exceptional and everything we could have ever asked to have a wonderful family vacation. The place is design in a very efficient and clean way which makes the stay with a child really easy. Very close to everything you need from the port, restaurants and bank. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. Thank you once again!!!

It is clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view. The lady that welcomed me, I believe she cleans the rooms aswell, was very helpful, friendly and accomodating. The old pictures on the wall of Horta and Faial are a nice touch. It is in easy walking distance from Porto Pim (beach), much less convenient from the ferry.

Clean, spacious apartment with great view. Excellent location and value for money. The best beds we had during our 2 weeks Azores island hopping holiday. Special thanks to Sandra for pre ordering us a taxi from the port to airport when we missed our ferry back to Faial from Pico!

It was like our home away. It is close to the airpot, about 15’ by uber to the center. Cozy rooms, beautifully maintained garden and we love the pool. There are many corners you can sit down and relax. The breakfast was also good with fresh fruits from its garden. Special thanks to Francisco who was very communicative and immediate came to pick us up at the airport when we sent him the text that we could not find any taxi. We planned to rent a car at the airport but no one available so we asked and Francisco agreed to take us around. The cost was reasonable, the trip was enjoyable and Francisco’s stories were very interesting.

Swimming pool, pool table, and all the other equipments are great. Temperature and shape and having it for oursleves was super fun. The house is very big and has everything we needed. We felt at home. People were really nice to us. A great place to be in Faial.
Great breakfast in own pastry shop downstairs - especially loved the freshly squeezed orange juice and selection of sweet pastries. Very close to ferry terminal - 10 minute walk, in a quiet area yet close to main part of town
We loved this place. It is like a cabin in the middle of the forrest. The mix of wood and tent situated in between so many trees is just a beautiful. We could have spend another week here. Everything was perfect really. Hopefully we will come back one day!
