Just a 5-minute drive away from the city of Gouveia, in the slopes of Serra da Estrela Mountain, Madre De Água Hotel Rural de Charme is located in a producing wine, cheese and olive oil farm. The place in general is absolutely fabulous. Lovely, cozy facilities and nice spacious room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved horse riding and excursion of the farm. Restaurant, incl. also breakfast was always a great experience with local farm made cheeses etc.

Casas da Lapa is a modern hotel ideally located on a hill top, inside the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela. It is located within a characteristic mountain village, Lapa dos Dinheiros. The food was amazing, the service was lovely. Everyone was super kind and we really felt welcomed. It doesn't feel like a typical hotel with a big hallway and everything fancy, and we missed nothing. We even loved even more the picturesque vibes it gives, and how it blends into the mountain landscape. One of the top moments was the picnic 🧺 we ordered as an extra to take to our hike in the mountains 👌🏼

Very unique and pleasant design, lot of attention was given to all details. Wood work done to the highest level. The team were very very supportive. It felt like a family run place. Raphael was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food was unbelievably good, all fresh ingredients and served beautifully. We stayed 3 night each dinner was different and tasty.

Excellent location to explore historical villages of Portugal and Serra De Estrella. Very friendly and attentive owners. We really enjoyed the stay very much. Thank you.
