They helped arrange a motorcycle taxi for us to get back down to the main road. The location is good with a good view. The town is small so walking to everything is easy.

The rooms are really nice, clean and have all the facilities needed. Totally recommended!! The view is incredible, you can watch the waterfall from your window and enjoy the rest of the view from there.

A lovely homestay in the heart of Cuispes. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here as well. Hot shower, comfy bed and wifi. They helped us get to the waterfalls as well. It's more remote than most towns, so you need to try and plan ahead a bit, like what time you want to eat, what time you want to go somewhere etc. 10 soles per person in a mototaxi to get from Pedro Ruiz and 10 soles per person to get to the start of the waterfalls (don't walk, it's 5km, uphill on a dirt road).

Chachapoyas has sooo much potential that is unrealized. Rough poor roads, poor tourist amenities, and many inaccessible places wo worth seeing. That being said, don't miss it. Kuelap, the sarcaphogi, revash, museo leymebamba. There's much more than the local guides know, and it inspires one to think of how it was before the Inca and Spanish Conquerers. If they would turn the plaza more into a tourist attraction, it would be great with some drinking establishmens and outdoor seating.
